Amazing day with fantastic guides!
This is our 3rd time in Juneau and this had been our favorite tour! We got to do a little bit of everything, from stopping for a cool view of Mendenhall to a private whale watching experience and then Kayaking which was by far our favorite part. The experiences themselves were awesome but our guides are what really made the day special. Noah, Captain John and Jason were all great. Kayaking with Jason was a true highlight - just a fun guy to be around, super flexible and relaxed. Our next time in Juneau will definitely be spent with these guys again. It's a great way to get away from the big crowded tours and have a spectacular day. Don't hesitate to book this one!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re honored that on your third visit to Juneau, this was your favorite tour. It sounds like you had a perfect mix of Juneau highlights — Mendenhall views, private whale watching, and kayaking. Noah, Captain John, and Jason will be thrilled to hear your kind words. We’re especially glad kayaking with Jason was such a highlight and that the day felt flexible, relaxed, and away from the big crowds. We truly appreciate your recommendation and would love to spend another spectacular day with you next time you’re in Juneau!

The tour was exceptionally well run—organized, seamless, and enjoyable from start to finish.
We had a splendid experience with “Juneau Land and Sea Adventures” today. The tour was Kayaking and Whale Watching in the morning, and Glacier/Nuggets Fall viewing in the afternoon. Captain Carl and Jason ran the tour a professional way. It fulfilled our expectations and beyond. They shared many marine life knowledges; the boat is clean and well equipped; picked the best spots in Juneau for us to admire this beautiful Jewel on earth. The kayak is sit-on-top type, it is easy to get in-and-out, steady and safe. It was a full day tour with every step being looked after, demonstrates years’ of experiences and the pursue of perfection. Thank you so much for showing us beautiful Juneau!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are very glad your private Juneau adventure exceeded your expectations and that you enjoyed the combination of kayaking, whale watching, glacier viewing, and Nugget Falls. Captain Carl and Jason truly appreciate your kind words. We are happy you enjoyed the marine life, clean and well-equipped boat, safe sit-on-top kayaks, and the chance to experience some of Juneau’s most beautiful places in one full-day tour. Thank you again for choosing Juneau Land and Sea Adventures. It was our pleasure to share beautiful Juneau with you!

JUNEAU LAND AND SEA ADVENTURES
What a treat! Our family spent a most enjoyable time with Carl & Noah, boating from Auke Bay marina out and around Benjamin Island. Carl was very flexible and eager to create a great experience for our group, including three who went out on kayaks for a while. Very glad for this opportunity - definitely the highlight of our four days in Juneau! Thank you for that!!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review. It was a real pleasure having your family out with us, and we’re so glad we could help create a flexible and memorable day on the water. Benjamin Island is always a special place to explore, and it was great that part of your group was able to enjoy some kayaking as well. Noah and I truly appreciate you choosing us, and we’re honored to have been a highlight of your time in Juneau.

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Juneau Adventure Whale Watching Kayaking and Glacier View: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Juneau.
How much does Private Juneau Adventure Whale Watching Kayaking and Glacier View cost?
+
Prices start at $2250 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Juneau usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Juneau Adventure Whale Watching Kayaking and Glacier View take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Juneau is not rushed.
Is Private Juneau Adventure Whale Watching Kayaking and Glacier View worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Juneau, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Juneau Adventure Whale Watching Kayaking and Glacier View?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Juneau Adventure Whale Watching Kayaking and Glacier View suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Juneau Adventure Whale Watching Kayaking and Glacier View?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Juneau can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Juneau and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Juneau Adventure Whale Watching Kayaking and Glacier View start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Juneau within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Juneau?
+
Juneau runs Mendenhall Glacier trips, whale watching in Auke Bay, helicopter glacier landings with dog sledding, and rainforest hikes. Most tours are timed to cruise ship windows, so we weight clear duration and pickup detail. On Outty we rank every Juneau experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Juneau Wildlife Whale Watching, Juneau Wildlife Whale Watching & Mendenhall Glacier, Whales and Wilderness Exploration. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Juneau?
+
May to September, peaking for humpbacks in June and July. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Juneau?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
