Memorable Day at the Wineries

Levi knows his stuff , pleasant to be with & good humoured . Plenty to eat at the wineries along with the amazing selection of wines . The Rothschild cemetry is a worthwhile stop .

Great Way to Spend a Day

Wow, we had such a great time and learned so much about the history of the Israeli wine industry. We visited three very different wineries. Each unique and each special. Levi’s humor was a constant source of entertainment. This and his in depth history lessons made the drive between the wineries fly by. We whole heartedly recommend this tour. You will love the wine and you will love Levi.

Response from the operator: Dear Brad and the family. It has been an utmost please to guiding you. You are among those people who already know a lot and are eager to learn even more. And this is a great present for a tour guide, like me, to meet and guide the curious people! Thanks a lot for joining me on the tour and I'm looking forward to meeting and guiding you again.

Fridays at the Tishbi Winery, located downhill, south of the Baron Rothschild Memorial

The Tishbi Winery is the best winery in Israel bar none. Visiting on any Friday is a very rewarding experience; it is special because besides (i) the winery tour, (ii) wine and (iii) chocolate testing. There are (iv) a great dairy restaurant, (v) smoked beef briskets cook-out, (vi) with country music band, (vii) option to buy wine (your bottles) off the vat (large tank), (viii) freshly baked breads, (ix) beers and (x) old machinery (tractors, jeeps, etc.) rebuilding shop to visit. Having the variety of the above ten (10) attractions with ample parking would make anyone happy. Noam Mayraz, Fort Worth, Texas.

Response from the operator: Your great review is highly appreciated, thanks a lot. Hope to see you back to Israel, as soon as COVID-19 is behind us.

Lucky to have found the best

So many tours and tour guides to choose from. What a pleasure to have found an amazing guide to surpass our expectations by far. Levi Zelkind introduced us to more than spectacular wines and history. He is an extremely learned historian; a reliable, responsible and professional guide; and a real mensch. We will be recommending his services and will be availing ourselves of them in the future. An absolutely wonderful learning experience. And some fantastic wine, cheese and chocolate! Thank you Levi!

Response from the operator: Dear Susan, thank you very much! Indeed, a combination of the great wines, perfect cheeses and tasty chocolate helped to overcome the rain and the cold! And I'm happy that my stories could add yo your good mood! Hope to see you again soon! Levi

Private Israeli Wines Tour of the Central Israel: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tel Aviv.

How much does Private Israeli Wines Tour of the Central Israel cost?

+

Prices start at $999 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tel Aviv usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Israeli Wines Tour of the Central Israel take?

+

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tel Aviv is not rushed.

Is Private Israeli Wines Tour of the Central Israel worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tel Aviv, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Israeli Wines Tour of the Central Israel?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Israeli Wines Tour of the Central Israel suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Israeli Wines Tour of the Central Israel?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tel Aviv can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tel Aviv and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Israeli Wines Tour of the Central Israel start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tel Aviv within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tel Aviv?

+

On Outty we rank every Tel Aviv experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guided Pub Crawl Night Tour at Tel Aviv, Masada and the Dead Sea Day Trip from Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv Jaffa Guided Bike Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tel Aviv?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tel Aviv?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
