Machu Picchu experience
We had a private tour to the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and one day Inka Trail trek. Everything worked very well from initial contacts and bookings to the logistics around pick up and drop off, cars and trains, and nice hotels. Our guide Ernesto was fantastic, very knowledgeable, helpful and charming. It was an unforgettable experience, highly recommended.

South Adventure Perú Tours
Great experience with South Adventure Perú Tours. Our host Ruben and Tatiana were very helpful with important tips and planning. Our trek through the Inca trail to Machu Picchu was difficult but worth it. Ernesto our travel guide was equally appreciated with his knowledge of the terrain, flora, and the history of the Region and the Inca cultural heritage. We visited several archeological sites and cities on this trip and discovered the diversity in food and exports that support the economy of Peru-Salt mines of Mara, the different varieties of potatoes and corn grown locally, the practice of organic farming and rich varieties in the Peruvian cuisine. The attention and prompt responses to any questions we had for our hosts was extraordinary to say the least. Our host and guide spoke perfect English which made it very easy to communicate.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your beautiful vacation with our professional team, who work tirelessly every day to ensure our travelers' holidays are as safe and fun as possible. It was a great pleasure meeting you in person here in Peru, and we hope you can return very soon!

Incredible 14-Day Cusco/Sacred Valley/Inca 4-Day Trail to Machu Picchu and Puno Experience with South Adventure Per
This is my second visit to Peru where I and seven of my friends have just returned to Sao Paolo after a wonderful experience with this company in Peru. From the beginning we contacted each other, they without hesitation helped us plan this unforgettable trip for weeks. As soon as we arrived in Peru, everything was perfectly organized and planned from start to finish. The guides were very professional and knowledgeable, and were always attentive to all our needs even with some minor last minute changes. Throughout our trip Cusco, tour to the Sacred Valley, Moray, 4-Day / 3-Night Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, 7-Color Mountain and 3-Day trip to Titicaca in Puno, we had a great time. Transportation was quite spacious and with our driver very responsible and attentive. The camping equipment during the Inca Trail were relatively new and very comfortable, and not to mention the food , was top quality and all nutritious, the cook was super professional, even prepared us a thank you cake on the last day. The porters were very helpful people who carried all the equipment without problems, and always smiled at all times despite the heavy work. The organization and all the logistics on the part of the company was simply impeccable. The guides were phenomenal, always attentive and very knowledgeable about Inca history and culture. This was my second time traveling with this company, and this time I decided to take my friends on the Inca Trail. We are all fascinated and very grateful for this experience of a lifetime, and will definitely recommend it to all our friends and family who want to visit Peru

Trip of a lifetime
South Adventure Peru Tours gave us the trip of a lifetime! Everything was so well organized, and the whole team – guide, driver, cook, and porters – treated us like family. The highlight was when they surprised us with a birthday cake on the Inca Trail to celebrate two 50th birthdays – up in the mountains! Ruben and Tatiana, the owners, made sure every detail was perfectly taken care for our day trips in Cuzco, Sacred Valley, Lares Hot Springs, and then the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu was perfectly planned. Highly recommend them if you want an unforgettable and truly cared-for experience in Peru.

My memorable trip to Peru with friends
Last week, we returned from our Peru and Machu Picchu trip. From the airport pickup in Cusco to booking the hotels, dining, and arranging our adventure trip to the Inca Trail, all the logistics were handled by the South Adventure Peru Tours team. They treated us like family — their friendly touch, advice, and careful planning gave us a wonderful experience in Peru. Visiting Lares Hot Springs, exploring local markets and archaeological sites, and being picked up from the Machu Picchu train and dropped off at the airport — everything was handled perfectly. Our heartfelt thanks to Ruben and his wife. I highly recommend South Adventure Peru Tours to everyone, and I will definitely use their services again in the future. Best regards, Venkat

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu 4 Days / 3 Nights: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does Private Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu 4 Days / 3 Nights cost?
+
Prices start at $1250 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu 4 Days / 3 Nights take?
+
Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is Private Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu 4 Days / 3 Nights worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu 4 Days / 3 Nights?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Private Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu 4 Days / 3 Nights suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 96-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Private Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu 4 Days / 3 Nights?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu 4 Days / 3 Nights start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
