The hike is moderately difficult, and not suitable for everyone.
This tour was amazing. The guide and driver picked us up from our rental space and drove us there. The drive was beautiful and breathtaking. The driver made it up the hill to the park, while we watched other groups hiking up the hill to the park. That was great, because the waterfall hike was hard but totally worth it. Our group of 5 felt safe and cared for. The lunch was perfectly timed and tasty, and met everyone's needs. The teenager said it was their favorite part of the whole week.

Knowing such a valuable wasteland with Juanis and Aleja was a wonderful experience. Not only because the landscape is amazing, the history and natural value of the place leave great learnings. Instead, the attention to detail of the Zebra team is impeccable. They care about making every second of the tour an unforgettable experience! Thank you for introducing us to this great natural treasure in a unique and special way!

A deep dive into Colombian culture, nature and history
We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to spend a day exploring a serene and sacred spot in the Andes mountains, while learning about a precious ecosystem and pre-Colombian indigenous culture. Alejandra is an outstanding guide - friendly, informative, and clearly passionate about her work - and she partnered very well with Andres, our nature interpreter. Our day began with breakfast at La Calera, including the local variety of arepas and a hearty bowl of caldo de costilla. We then stopped at an enormous abandoned concrete factory, near a reputed ghost town. We climbed deeper into the mountains, and entered Chingaza National Park. After a video introducing us to the park, we hiked to the astonishing Lagunas de Buitrago, a site sacred to the indigenous Muisca people. Alejandra and Andres describe the flora and fauna of the rare high tropical ecosystem, páramo, in detail. We ate a delicious and filling lunch at a viewpoint above the lagoons, and then continued our hike to the shore, surrounded by towering frailejones (plants unique to this ecosystem). The elusive Andean bear also made a fleeting appearance, hurrying across our path. Our final stop was at Palacio, the site of an abandoned mine and the highest point (altitude) on our tour. The mountain views were astonishing, including a rare Colombian white-tailed deer. We very much appreciated Alejandra’s focus on conservation, sustainability, and support of local businesses. We would definitely tour with Zebra Fisgona again, and will recommend them to our friends who travel to Colombia.
Response from the operator: Dear Art! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this amazing review and for sharing your experience with future travelers. We put in a lot of hard work and effort to offer the best experiences, so reading this truly made us very happy and motivates us to keep doing it! We will pass on your wonderful comments to Andres and Alejandra, they will be so happy when they read this. Until the next adventure! Warmth regards,

Beautiful moorland near Bogota
On October 13, I went to the Chingaza Moor, a unique and beautiful place worth visiting, just 2h from Bogotá. The best thing was to do the walk with Zebra Fisgona Tours, from Aleja and Juanita, two visionary entrepreneurs, who with their excellent organization took care that we had a great experience, because when we took care of all the details we could be comfortable and enjoy the beautiful landscapes. In addition, the walk is very didactic, because we were taught everything about the moor, with the support of two environmental interpreters who accompanied us throughout the tour. We were made aware of the importance of taking care of the moors and implementing and spreading sustainable ecological practices, of which Zebra Snoop is an example! Well we were given a delicious meal, in environmentally friendly materials! I definitely recommend walking with Zebra Snoop Tours!
Response from the operator: Querida Diana, ¡Muchas gracias por dejarnos un comentario tan maravilloso! Saludos,

Chingaza Natural Park Hiking - One day
It is unbelievable that only at a two hour drive you can see an walk in a Paramo Ecosystem that it is almost unique in the world. It is an all day walk (9.1 km; roundish 6 mi) and you have to be prepared (boots, coat and waterproof clothes). Surely you will be sore the next day but the unique vegetation and the possibility to see fears and bears makes it totally worth it. La Zebra girls were amazing and the quality/price is really goods, will definitively repeat!!
Response from the operator: Dear Rafael! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this amazing review and for sharing your experience with future travelers. We put in a lot of hard work and effort to offer the best experiences, so reading this truly made us very happy and motivates us to keep doing it! Until the next adventure! Warmth regards,

Private Hike • Chingaza Natural Park from Bogota • 10h: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bogotá.
How much does Private Hike • Chingaza Natural Park from Bogota • 10h cost?
+
Prices start at $550 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bogotá usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Hike • Chingaza Natural Park from Bogota • 10h take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bogotá is not rushed.
Is Private Hike • Chingaza Natural Park from Bogota • 10h worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Bogotá, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Hike • Chingaza Natural Park from Bogota • 10h?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Private Hike • Chingaza Natural Park from Bogota • 10h suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Hike • Chingaza Natural Park from Bogota • 10h?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bogotá can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bogotá and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Hike • Chingaza Natural Park from Bogota • 10h start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bogotá within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bogotá?
+
On Outty we rank every Bogotá experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Free Graffiti Walking Tour Every Day in Bogota, Bogota Zipaquira Salt Cathedral Private Tour + Lunch, Private City Tour Bogota + Monserrate, Gold, Botero and Candelaria.. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bogotá?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bogotá?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
