Walking tour of the Candelaria
Esteban was our guide and gave us a great walking tour of the Candelaria neighborhood, including a nice view of the city along the way, as well as coffee tasting and a few museums. He was very knowledgeable about the buildings, history and details of the area. The 5 hours went by very quickly. He was also very flexible about where we wanted to go and stop. We would recommend hisbtour for a short trip to see the main sights in the historical city center.

Great Private Tour for Family with Young Kids
We took a private tour of La Candelaria and Museo de Oro with Hansa Tours. It was extremely easy to set up via WhatsApp (thanks Michaela!) and the private van and driver were courteous and safe. Maria Quintero was a knowledgeable and kind tour guide. She did an excellent job of striking a good balance between parent history buffs and kids 7 and 4 who were more interested in feeding the pigeons at Plaza Bolívar. She catered to us all and arranged for us to have yummy and substantial refreshments to keep us going through the long walk. We particularly enjoyed the fruit market, La Pola’s house, the pigeons at the Plaza, the Catedral Primada, and (the highlight) the Museo de Oro. Kids were really into the museum and asking lots of questions. Thank you Maria for a lovely introduction to Bogota!
Response from the operator: Dear Atauba, Thank you very much for taking the time to write us your opinion, it is very valuable to us. We are glad that you were able to enjoy so many aspects of the city. We are glad to hear that Michaela, Maria Paula and the driver met all your expectations in service and that made this a great tour. We hope you return soon to our city. Thank you for recommending us. We send you our best wishes!

A Great Tour Guide for Bogata
We had a great private tour with Juan Fernando. He was very knowledgeable about the past and present day Colombian history and change. We went to a city park to view a topographical map, walked about historical parts of the city, went to some interesting markets, toured the Gold musuem and more. We highly recommend Jaun Fernando. He speaks excellent english.

A Great Historical tour
This was a pretty good tour through every corner of historical Bogotá, Sebastián was an excellent guide and knew pretty well his way around the history of this city. I really liked the tour around the museum of Botero and the MAMU, I learned a lot about art and the configuration of the heart of the city. Even though Bogotá rained on us, the tour guide didn't let it stop us from having a great time and learn about the museum of gold, the great places to have coffee and the chorro of Quevedo where Bogotá was born, all in all, it was a cool experience and I would definitely do it again.
Response from the operator: Dear, Daniela Thank you very much for taking the time to write us your opinion, it is very valuable to us. Thank you for trusting us to provide you with this tour to La Candelaria and Museums; are places full of magic and history. It's great to know that Sebastian did an excellent job and that his company and knowledge were a plus in the experience. We hope you return soon to our city. We send you our best wishes

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bogotá.
How much does Private Historical Bogotá Tour (5 Hrs.) cost?
+

How long does Private Historical Bogotá Tour (5 Hrs.) take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bogotá is not rushed.
Is Private Historical Bogotá Tour (5 Hrs.) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bogotá, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Historical Bogotá Tour (5 Hrs.)?
+

Is Private Historical Bogotá Tour (5 Hrs.) suitable for kids and families?
+

How far in advance should I book Private Historical Bogotá Tour (5 Hrs.)?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bogotá can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bogotá and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bogotá?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bogotá?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
