    Glorious Edinburgh Tour

Superb tour of the different neighborhoods of the city including an outstanding history of the various sites. Provided us time to exit cab for short walks to historic buildings, parks, and neighborhoods. We were shown areas where tour buses could not access all in the comfort of easy to enter and exit cab. We certainly saw more sites than we had coped to see. In addition to our tour of Edinburgh, Danny gave us guidance/recommendations for restaurants and shopping. Danny inquired about our planned self-hire car travels following our time in Edinburgh and gave us excellent tips on sites to see on our plans for touring throughout Scotland. What a bonus for us that greatly enhanced our travels! He even offered for us to contact him should we have questions during our subsequent days of travel! Danny was a true gem! Jim & Rosalie

Best way to see so much of the city in comfort and with a fantastic guide

My wife and I took our teenagers to Edinburgh for a few nights after a week in London and took this tour on the first day, and WOW are we glad we did. We saw so much of the city and Dave our driver just knew every story, every tale and brought the place to life. We saw the main highlights and got out of the cab at each point to take a closer look, we got great photos, learnt a lot, and Dave adapted the itinerary a little for my son. Could not recommend this enough, and the first day is when to do it, we knew where we wanted to spend the rest of our time in Edinburgh. Thank you for a great experience from a happy family of four!

Response from the operator: Good day, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful review with us! we are thrilled that you and your family had such a great time during their first day in London. It's fantastic to hear that Dave enriched your tour with his storytelling and brought the place to life for you and your lovely family. It's also great that you were able to learn a lot and take some great photos of the main highlights. We would love to see any photos you captured on the trip that you would be willing to share. Thanks again for the kind words, we will be sure to pass on the kind words to Dave. He will be glad to hear that you enjoyed your time with him. We hope to welcome you back on another Travel Curious Tour. Happy exploring!

What should I bring or wear?

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

How many days do you need in Edinburgh?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
