Pisac private hike
We booked our tour through Inkayni Peru and our guide was Alfie. We wanted a half day tour of Pisac where we would be driven to the top and hike down to the market which was actually hard to arrange. All the other operators wanted whole day trips to the sacred valley with no hike. Our pick up at our hotel was punctual and the entire tour was smooth. Alfie was knowledgeable and accommodating touring us on the way to Pisac, and from top all the way through the various ruins. it was a great day.

Wonderful half day tour
Nohemi was a great guide. She was so knowledgeable and friendly. We really had a nice afternoon with her. And saw so many highlights. We would highly recommend this tour.

Great experience with one major hiccup
My husband and I did 3 private tours with the wonderful Yeny and her driver (can’t remember his name but he was super sweet and a very safe driver). First, they picked us up in their nice van at the Cusco airport and took us to 3 sites-Chinchero, Moray and Maras. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and were dropped off at our hotel (Pakaritampu-highly recommend) in the adorable and interesting town of Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley. We stayed there for 3 night visiting the archeological site in town and hiking the granaries and just enjoyed walking around the quaint town. We met Yeny again for our Machu Picchu tour. She was an excellent and interesting guide and it was an otherworldly experience! The major hiccup is that Inkayni Tours mistakingly booked us for circuit 3 when I had requested circuit 2 —and we booked far in advance to be able to get that circuit. It’s the circuit that has the iconic Machu Picchu views. I was VERY disappointed that this happened. Yeny tried to make it right but the personnel at Machu Picchu were very strict and would not allow a change. She did finagle a guard to take me up to the greatest vantage point at Machu Picchu for a quick photo op. Once we got to Cusco, we had a half day tour of the city and some of the surrounding areas. Once again, we thoroughly enjoyed Yeny’s company and insights. And my husband absolutely loved being called Sir William!!

Informative Tour
I think the guide shared his heartfelt beliefs and knowledge of and passion for Quechua culture and we appreciated that. Some notes, though, about things that make clients uncomfortable: Mentioning Freddie Kruger and 'Sexy Woman.' Offering your number to a young woman or asking her to meet later to party with your pals or telling her that you feel like you have known her for years. Maybe due to cultural differences, but it is important to understand these things as a tour guide.

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Half-Day Cusco City Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does Private Half-Day Cusco City Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $85 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Half-Day Cusco City Tour take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is Private Half-Day Cusco City Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Half-Day Cusco City Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Half-Day Cusco City Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Half-Day Cusco City Tour?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Half-Day Cusco City Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
