Dong Thien Cung
In the morning tourist guide and driver pick you up from your hotel at about 8.00 – 8.30 Bus drive 170 km to the Northeast of Viet Nam ( 3,5 hrs ). Along the way you can enjoy the stunning scenery of the Red River delta with peaceful villages, farmers working in their green fields, herding their water buffalos, flocking their ducks, trading garden herbs by the side of the road. We also make a stop on the half way to stretch our legs, enjoy a coffee or tea… before we continue our trip to Ha Long Bay. Arrive in Ha Long bay at about 12.00. The tour guide takes you to the boat for cruising Ha Long Bay (4-5 hours). Seafood lunch is served while the boat cruises the bay to enjoy the beautiful limestone seascapeon the boat. After lunch, you have a chance to visit one of the most beautiful cave in Ha Long bay- Thien Cung cave or the Palace of Heaven Grotto (where in 1288 one of Vietnam’s most famous Generals Tran Hung Dao amassed hundreds of stakes deep inside the cave prior to a battle with an invading Mongol army). We walking up to the middle of the island, then go inside of the cave to exploring. There are a lot of stalagmites and stalactites look like some animals.

Dau Go Cave
Dau Go cave or Wooden Stakes cave is located on the same island of Thien Cung grotto-Heavenly Palace grotto, it was use to kept many Wooden stakes in side to fight again Nguyen-Mong aggressors in the 13 century. You can choice to visit this cave after Heavenly Palace grotto (Optional). It takes about 3 munutes to discover this one.

This is a floating village where you will stop to join a kayaking or Sampan boat rowing by local people. You will have a chance to go through in the water caves on the blue water surrounded by limestone islands.

Ha Long Bay - tour with Johnny
The tour with Johnny was beyond our expectations. Picked up right on time from our Hanoi hotel forr a morning cruise of Ha Long Bay, Johnny was incredibly knowledgeable and provided a great light touch as a guide. The boat and tour of the Bay was incredible and the lunch provided has been one of the food highlights of our trip to date. A nice day out
We went with 2 kids ages 15 and 12. We had a fun experience on the private tour. Our guide, Hien, was kind and informative. The pickup was on time and smooth. The car was comfortable. We stopped by some pearl farm on the way the. Reached Halong Bay around noon. The boat and crew was good- it was a 48 person tour boat but just 4 of us on board. We had lunch on board which was tasty- mostly seafood . We saw various rock formations and kayaked through some caves, then visited another cave which was the largest and required an easy walk up some stairs to get to. Halong Bay is rather far from Ha Noi but the drive is mostly along the new highway so it’s manageable. Overall a fun experience.

We had an amazing time with Selina on our private day trip to Ha Long Bay! She was very informative and took her time in explaining things to us. Made the tour very fun and exciting. The tour is great value for money. We really enjoyed the cruise, we were the only 2 people on the boat by chance. There was lots of food provided to us for lunch we were so full! And we had the most fun kayaking in the bay. I would highly recommend this tour for families or couples wanting a private and fun day trip to Ha Long Bay!
