Good tour

Our guide was called Sam and was really informative and nice. I really enjoyed the Reed Flute Caves, this was probably the best part of the day for me. Elephant trunk hill was nice to see, but I wish I didn't climb the hill as the view was not that impressive in comparison to other places I have visited, and lots of buildings/housing blocks kind of ruined the view. Again, Fubo hill was really just okay to see but I wouldn't choose to climb it again. I got the impression that the Buddhist statues had been placed into the cave at Fubo for the purpose of tourism, so that did not impress me. It was however nice to see the remaining Buddhist carvings that survived Mao (you can see the attempts to destroy them). Sam organised a place too take us for lunch and that was beautiful, we got lots o vegetarian options which was great for me. I enjoyed this! Overall I would go to the Reed flute caves again but the other parts I would probably not visit again. Our guide Sam really made the trip.

If I had to choose again, I would rather just visit the Reed Flute Cave on a separate tour. The cave is awesome and shouldn't be missed while in Guilin.

Pleasant tour with a great guide. The landscape stimulates your imagination which is a ton of fun. The cave is astonishing with its lights. The whole tour may lack of history and profound culture, it is not for people who specifically look for a cultural visit but rather a fun moment.

How much does Private Guilin Half Day Tour: Fubo Mountain, Reed Flute Cave and Elephant Hill cost?

How long does Private Guilin Half Day Tour: Fubo Mountain, Reed Flute Cave and Elephant Hill take?

Is Private Guilin Half Day Tour: Fubo Mountain, Reed Flute Cave and Elephant Hill worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Guilin, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Guilin Half Day Tour: Fubo Mountain, Reed Flute Cave and Elephant Hill?

+

How far in advance should I book Private Guilin Half Day Tour: Fubo Mountain, Reed Flute Cave and Elephant Hill?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Guilin can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Guilin and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Guilin?

+

On Outty we rank every Guilin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 1 Day Li River Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo with Private Guide & Driver, 1-DAY Private Longji Rice Terraces and Minority Villages Tour, Longji Rice Terraces with Minority Village Private Day Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Guilin?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Guilin?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
