    Group guided Bazar walk

The Bazar Walk with Khaki Tours was a wonderful experience. The whole route was very interesting, and we discovered so many fascinating places, stories and details about Mumbai that we would never have found on our own. Our guide, Rizwan, was very kind, knowledgeable and helpful throughout the walk. At the end, he was especially thoughtful and waited with me until I was able to get a taxi, which I really appreciated. A very interesting and enjoyable way to discover another side of Mumbai. Highly recommended!

Response from the operator: Dear Mariona, Thank you for such a kind review! We’re delighted you enjoyed the Bazaar Walk and got to uncover parts of Mumbai you might have otherwise missed. Rizwan will be thrilled to hear your compliments—he truly cares about every guest’s experience, right down to making sure you’re safely in a cab heading home. Looking forward to hosting you soon! Thanks & Regards, Team KHAKI

Enjoyable tour of crawford market and surrounding areas

We did a tour of crawford market and its surrounding markets and areas. Mr Vasant was our tour guide. He did an excellent job of explaining the history of these areas. The tour was 2 hours long and in the evening so it wasn't too hot. I definitely recommend this tour.

Response from the operator: Dear Varun, Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful review of our #BazarWalk. We’re delighted to know you had such an enjoyable experience exploring Crawford Market and the surrounding market precincts with us. Experience Mumbai bazaars like a local

Jimmy was a great guide. He steered me through various bazaars selling different types of items and delivered really interesting information on the buildings, religious and cultural practices and history of the areas. It was amazing to see how real local Mumbai people engaged with buying and selling goods in these bazaars. Definitely recommend it.

Response from the operator: Dear Adeline, Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful review. We’re delighted to know you enjoyed experiencing the bazaars through a more local lens and discovering the many layers of history, culture, commerce, and everyday life woven into these vibrant spaces. It’s always rewarding to hear when the walk offers a deeper connection to the city beyond the usual tourist experience. We’re glad our host made the journey engaging and insightful for you throughout the walk. Your recommendation truly means a lot to us. We look forward to hosting you again for more such immersive explorations of Mumbai. Thanks & Regards, Team KHAKI

    Super tour of Mumbai's bazaars.

Excellent walking tour of Mumbai's Market area with guide Juzer. Early evening tour of Crawford market and the surrounding bazaars. This is the third Khaki tour I have done and they have all been first rate. Meet up was easy at Crawford Market and although the streets are very busy and noisy Juzer managed to show me many interesting aspects of the bazaars and explain the history and significance of each market area - blacksmiths', gold, flower and cloth. It was fascinating and not an area I would have been able to navigate by myself. Thank you again Khaki Tours!

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review of our #BazarWalk. We’re delighted to know that you enjoyed exploring the vibrant market precinct around Crawford Market and that the experience stood out as another first-rate walk for you. Navigating the bustling lanes from the blacksmiths’ and gold markets to the flower and cloth bazaars can be overwhelming, so it’s wonderful to hear that our host helped bring clarity, context, and fascinating stories to each space. It truly means a lot to us that you’ve joined multiple walks and continue to have enriching experiences with Khaki Tours. We look forward to hosting you again for many more explorations of Mumbai’s hidden gems. Thanks & Regards, Team KHAKI

Private Guided Walking Tour of Street Markets (Bazaars): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mumbai.

How much does Private Guided Walking Tour of Street Markets (Bazaars) cost?

    +

Prices start at $36 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mumbai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Guided Walking Tour of Street Markets (Bazaars) take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mumbai is not rushed.

Is Private Guided Walking Tour of Street Markets (Bazaars) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 115 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mumbai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Guided Walking Tour of Street Markets (Bazaars)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Guided Walking Tour of Street Markets (Bazaars) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Guided Walking Tour of Street Markets (Bazaars)?

    +

Around 40 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mumbai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mumbai and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Guided Walking Tour of Street Markets (Bazaars) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mumbai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mumbai?

    +

On Outty we rank every Mumbai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Elephanta Caves & Island Guided Private Tour, Dharavi Slum Tour, Mumbai: Dharavi Slum & Dhobi Ghat Laundry Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mumbai?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mumbai?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
