Wonderful tour experience.

We had a personal tour of Angkor Wat with Mr.Lioun guide from Hidden Angkor Tour and it was fabulous. He and his excellent driver picked us up from our hotel at 4.45am, so that we were in the perfect place to watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat. It was magical. Then we began our tour of four of the main temples and more small temples than we could count. What Lion doesn't know about the temples isn't worth knowing. He weaves information about the history with stories about Kings, wars and religions, making him a first class story teller and guide. He was a warm, friendly and knowledgeable guide who makes a special place even more special. Highly recommend this tour.

Best tour for family

At 4:30 AM, we were collected by Sophia, who skillfully transported us to an ideal location for witnessing the sunrise at Angkor Wat. From 5:00 to 6:00 AM, we observed the sun rising and transforming the surrounding light and scenery, which was truly remarkable. Even during the low (wet) season, the views were stunning, and as an added advantage, there were no large crowds—approximately only 100 people were present for the sunrise. We remained at Angkor Wat until around 8:30 AM before proceeding to the next temples. By 11:00 AM, we had visited three temples and took a well-deserved break for a delightful brunch and restroom stop. After visiting the final temple, we returned to the hotel by 2:00 PM. We walked approximately 10 kilometers, making for a long but extraordinary day, further enhanced by Sophia's extensive knowledge. The private tour allowed us to set our own pace, ask questions, and gain a wealth of information, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Sothoun is a knowledgeable and friendly guide, who made visiting the temples an educational and enjoyable experience.

I had a great tour experience with Hidden Angkor Tours, most especially because of my guide, Sothoun. Sothoun took great care in making sure I understood the history of each of the temples and the significance of the many carvings, statues and architecture. Our driver, Mr. Lee provided us with safe passage, as well as cold towels and bottled water. I strongly suggest you request Sothoun as your guide. You won’t be disappointed.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for taking the time to review of your private tour with the Hidden Angkor Tour. It was a pleasure to have you with us and I am thrilled to read of what an enjoyable tour you had - as well as your recommending us to others. You are highly esteemed guests of ours now and we very much hope to welcome you back to Siem Reap in the near future. I would like to wish you an enjoyable weekend and extend the most sincere thanks for choosing your private tour with us. Warmest regards, Theavy Tour manager.

Memorable tour with excellent guide

We did the Sunrise Private Angkor Tour. Lion, our tour guide, was amazing! I’ve been on a couple tours this trip and this was BY FAR the most incredible. First of all, wow, the locations were gorgeous! All the temples included on this tour are a perfect overview day. But what made it even more amazing was how knowledgeable, enthusiastic and informative Lion is. He took us through very interesting aspects of the temples I would never have noticed, or been able to appreciate without his explanations. He kept me engaged and amazed. The car service was wonderful and he was very accommodating. I would recommend this tour and Lion to anyone and everyone! Thank you so much Lion and Hidden Angkor Tour!

Response from the operator: Dear Susan, Thank you for taking the time to share your review following your recent experienced with Hidden Angkor Tour. I am so pleased to read that you had a memorable time with us. We take pride in our service and attention to detail and I am thrilled you found our service to be of high standards. I have shared your feedback the rest of my team and it has made us all very proud! It was our pleasure to have hosted you, and we hope very much to have the chance to welcome you back again in the future. Best Wishes, Theavy Tour manager

Private Guided Tours-Sunrise Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Bayon and more: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.

How much does Private Guided Tours-Sunrise Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Bayon and more cost?

+

Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Guided Tours-Sunrise Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Bayon and more take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.

Is Private Guided Tours-Sunrise Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Bayon and more worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Guided Tours-Sunrise Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Bayon and more?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Guided Tours-Sunrise Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Bayon and more suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Guided Tours-Sunrise Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Bayon and more?

+

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Guided Tours-Sunrise Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Bayon and more start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?

+

On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Siem Reap?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
