    3. Beluga Point

This spot is famous for two things: ✅ Beluga whale watching — in late summer and early fall, you might spot beluga whales swimming close to shore, chasing salmon during the incoming tide. ✅ Dramatic mountain and water views — it’s a favorite for photographers, especially at sunset, and also great for spotting Dall sheep on the cliffs above.

It features a long wooden boardwalk (about 1,550 feet) that winds over marshland, giving visitors an up-close view of a wide variety of wildlife, especially waterfowl, shorebirds, bald eagles, salmon, and even moose or beavers. Fantastic 10/10

Adam was brilliant from start to finish . Very good communication he got in touch a day before regarding the pick up and have been keeping me informed about his arrival on the day . The tour it self was very enjoyable flexible and relaxed. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone and happy to use his services if/ when we return.

Day trip between Cruise Ship and Redeye Flight

Adam was amazing (and a Veteran). So knowledgeable about Alaska and happy to spend the day with him. We then did not have to worry about luggage storage. They also let us customize our stops.

    Awesome transportation to Anchorage

Adam was amazing ! He checked in with us two days prior to pick up . He wanted to make sure that he had enough room for everyone’s luggage and to ensure he brought enough snacks .He also asked us for our drop off locations in Anchorage so that you could map it out most effectively.. and picked us up promptly on time and did a small tour of Whitaker for us and made sure that we made the tunnel because once it’s closed, you have to wait an hour. We went to the animal conservatory. He drove us to several spots so that we could avoid the mosquitoes.. The mosquitoes were ferocious. He once again made sure and tried his best to keep them out of our van. The van was a brand new Ford 11 passenger van. We had only six people so it was comfortable . After seeing all the animals who took us to streams and parks all along the way to Anchorage. He was attentive and very knowledgeable. I recommend this adventure.

I loved the hike! But the whales hump back and orcas along with the sea lions stole the show. Wish I could post the amazing pics here.

    +

That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Whittier, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Guided Tour Whittier Cruise pick up?

How far in advance should I book Private Guided Tour Whittier Cruise pick up?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Whittier and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Whittier?

    +

Whittier, AK packs its best experiences into walkable neighborhoods, local food, and day trips nearby. Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in Whittier by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. On Outty we rank every Whittier experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whittier Cruise Transfer with Wildlife&Glacier tour to Anchorage, Whittier to Anchorage Half Day Transit Tour From the Port, Whittier to Anchorage Wildlife Extravaganza. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Whittier?

    +

Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in Whittier, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Whittier?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
