Fantastic tour!
Peter was a great guide. He let us know when and where to meet and the vehicle he would be driving. He was very knowledgeable and engaging throughout. He tailored the tour to our family and took us to some beautiful overlook spots in Sydney afterwards. The private tour gave us the flexibility to make the day exactly what we wanted. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your review, Dave. had a lovely time with you and your family, and I'm thrilled you all enjoyed it too

Memorable Experiences with Bailey's tours in Sydney
Thanks for everything to our friendly Guide Peter, we really enjoyed this Private tour for my family, the Express and Heartfelt experiences at both destinations is indeed amazing and will be remembered for many years to come. Peter is meticulous in planning the whole day itinerary for us from pickup in the morning arriving as the first guests to Featherdale Wildlife Park and have enjoyed the feeding experiences to all animals and a memorable phototaking with Koala Bay without much queue. Managed to have time for a snack before heading to Blue Mountains, Peter's driving is also comfortable and thanks for the great chats in such a comfortable car that Peter has specially arranged. Although there was a crowd at Blue Mountains Scenic World we managed to gain express entry to complete all the rides in record time far exceeding our expectations after hearing form others encounter hours of waiting where we just took minutes. Special thanks to Peter for including multiple shopping opportunities in our tour and my whole family are really happy to have bought what they liked. 😊 Thanks for bringing us for lunch and we are glad to share the pastures were the best we ever tasted. The cockatoo close up experience is another unexpected bonus:) Overall it's an Awesome day well spent with Peter as our Guide and we even managed to reach our hotel ahead of time. The accompany and experiences specially guided by Peter is indeed priceless as time were so well planned with surprise shopping experiences that we are not expecting. Certainly worth the price paid as almost no time wasted throughout the itinerary. Thanks Peter once again and look forward to the next tour with you as our preferred guide when we visit Sydney again. To all sitting on the fence, book at your earliest opportunity as he very much sought after (we got our tour at our 2nd preferred date) and let Peter create the amazing moments for you and your loved ones like he did for my Family. You can feel his Heart & Passion for doing the tour. Well done Peter! Please continue to do what you love. Cheers and best regards :)
Response from the operator: Thank you, THANK YOU, for your lovely detailed review. It was a joy to show you the mountains and Australia's wildlife, and I am so happy you appreciated me keeping you away from the crowds also

Peter Bailey Blue Mountains experience
My wife and I were visiting Sydney for the first time and booked a trip with Peter so we could have an authentic tour of the Blue Mountains. We have hired tour guides in the past and Peter is one of the best. His tours are well thought out and it's obvious that he takes time preparing and getting to know his customers before hand for that personal touch to see what we were interested in. Seeing the cockatoos in the forest of the Blue Mountains will be one of our favorite memories of the entire trip. Aside from his knowledge of Austalia he has a lot of experience in travel himself and I think it makes him more sensitive to the needs of newcomers. We especially appreciated his extra tips to make our Sydney stay even better. We highly recommend Peter, you won't be disappointed if you book him for a private tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Bill. It was a wonderful day, and I'm so glad you both enjoyed it too!

Well worth it!
If you are adventurous, this is the tour for you. Peter takes you to the beautiful Blue Mountains, where you get to ride the steep train and tramway and then go on two beautiful hikes. He knows how to avoid and beat the crowds and knows the ins and outs of Sydney. The hikes are strenuous but do-able (we are in our 70's and did them). One hike is down 1000 steps and the other is uphill and downhill; both are beautiful and scenic and worth doing. Peter is a great guy and a pleasure to spend the day with.
Response from the operator: You guys were a pleasure to spend the day with also. Many thanks for your review, and all the best!

Exceptional. Group of 6 used Peter on 2 separate occasions during our time in Sydney. He proved to be a perfect choice
We toured with Peter to the Blue Mountains and took in the additional stop at the wildlife centre, everything went very smoothly and the day was most enjoyable. We then again used Peter’s services to do a city tour on our final day upon returning from a cruise, Peter went above and beyond to meet our requirements and requests as we had selected a personalised city tour. Peter is very personable, professional, knowledgeable and flexible in either meeting our needs or filling in the blanks we left for him. He was also very easy to deal with both from Canada and whilst in Australia. Always prompt and allowing what time the group wanted to do at each stop. Will definitely use Peters’s services the next time we visit Sydney
Response from the operator: Steve, thank you so much for your review. Thanks, also, for keeping the lines of communication open during the lead up to the tour, and while we were on tour. Three couple with such different personalities and agendas could have been difficult, but you made it very smooth. All the best for Xmas and the new year!

Why this scores 57
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Guided Tour from Sydney to Blue Mountains National Park: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.
How much does Private Guided Tour from Sydney to Blue Mountains National Park cost?
+
Prices start at $1650 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Guided Tour from Sydney to Blue Mountains National Park take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.
Is Private Guided Tour from Sydney to Blue Mountains National Park worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 45 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Guided Tour from Sydney to Blue Mountains National Park?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Private Guided Tour from Sydney to Blue Mountains National Park suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Guided Tour from Sydney to Blue Mountains National Park?
+
Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Guided Tour from Sydney to Blue Mountains National Park start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sydney?
+
On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sydney?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sydney?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
