    Love Windmillgirl tours

Esther was such a delight from the moment she greeted us at the hotel lobby. Her demeanor and knowledge of the windmills and villages she showed us was amazing. I highly recommend her and hope we can book another tour with her soon.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review Diana! It was such a pleasure meeting you and showing you the beautiful Dutch countryside. I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed the windmills, villages, and stories along the way. I hope to welcome you back to Holland and show you even more of our beautiful country. It would be a pleasure to have you on another tour! Warm regards, Esther

    Knowledgeable Tour

Our last day in Amsterdam was spent on a delightful tour of the Holland countryside. Esther was the best guide for our couple group of six. We were on a Rhine River cruise from Switzerland to Amsterdam before our stay in Amsterdam. Ester gave us a real sense of a way of life as a wooden shoe wearing proud working family! We had a cheese tour, city tour including wind mill workings. Fish restaurant delicacies & the quaint town of Edam! You won’t be disappointed!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Regena, for your lovely review! I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed the countryside and the stories about our history, the windmills, clogs and the tastings. You’re always welcome to join another tour anytime! Warm regards, Esther

Fabulous tour and wonderful guides. Great ladies!

We had an amazing experience with the WindMillGirls on our family trip to Amsterdam. We were lucky enough to get both ladies as our tour guides and they were absolutely wonderful. We visited the tulips the windmills the cheese factory. Everything was just perfect. We stopped for a lovely lunch outside at their recommendation and the family thought it was one of the best afternoons that they spent in Amsterdam. Thanks to Esther, one of the windmill girls, we had a fantastic day out discovering the area around Amsterdam. She took a lot of time to answer our questions, knew the best photo spots and shared so much information about life in the Netherlands. Highly recommended!

Private Guided Highlights of Holland Tour with Cheese Tasting: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.

How much does Private Guided Highlights of Holland Tour with Cheese Tasting cost?

    +

Prices start at $230 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Guided Highlights of Holland Tour with Cheese Tasting take?

    +

Plan for about 5.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.

Is Private Guided Highlights of Holland Tour with Cheese Tasting worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Guided Highlights of Holland Tour with Cheese Tasting?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Guided Highlights of Holland Tour with Cheese Tasting suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Guided Highlights of Holland Tour with Cheese Tasting?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 5.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Guided Highlights of Holland Tour with Cheese Tasting start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?

    +

On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Amsterdam?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
