A great day at Grand Canyon with Molly from Above and Beyond
We traveled to the Grand Canyon in early october to get as much from the Canyon as we could in one day. And our guide Molly did not let us down! She picked us up right on time and got us going on our hike down Bright Angel trail right away. She was a fountain of information about the geology of the canyon and had lots of good stories from back in the day about Native Americans and settlers for whom many of the rock formations had been named. She also brought along a telescope so that we could see Phantom Ranch at the bottom of the canyon and other points of interest too far away for us to walk. She drove us to viewpoints where she knew it wouldn't be too crowded and explained what we were seeing. At lunch time, she set up a beautiful picnic lunch at tables just off the rim trail. The day couldn't have been more perfect. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

Best Ever
This is easily the best private tour I have experienced. Everything was right: the skill and knowledge of the leader, the access to best places for viewing, the pacing, and the catering! Molly was wonderful, fun, and attentive. The expense is worth it.

A Stress-free Day Hosting Our Three-generation Family in the Grand Canyon
I booked a day tour with Above and Beyond Canyon Tours for nine family members, ranging in age from 8 to 78. Cory was courteous, friendly, and professional. He is so knowledgable about the canyon that he made it an unforgettable experience, even for those in our party who had visited the canyon before. He was very skilled at "reading the room" and tailoring the day and conversation to our interests. The van was quite comfortable for all of us and they nailed it with the snack selections, an important factor in making everyone's day pleasant. Cory took us to mostly private viewing spots so that fighting crowds was never an issue. The cherry on top of the cake was spotting a baby condor outside his cave through Cory's viewing equipment on our last stop, and the condor was three miles away! This made a very big impression on our kiddos. I would highly recommend using Above and Beyond for your ideal tour of the Grand Canyon.

The Best Way to Experience the Grand Canyon
Our experience with Above and Beyond Grand Canyon Tours was absolutely incredible and one of the highlights of our trip. We booked a private tour with Corey, and it truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime day. Corey was amazing. We were able to see so many places and viewpoints that we never would have found on our own or experienced with a large tour group. You can genuinely feel his love and passion for the Grand Canyon and the surrounding areas. He took us to special spots with breathtaking views, shared fascinating knowledge throughout the day, and created a magical experience from start to finish. From the moment he picked us up until he dropped us off, my husband and I felt completely taken care of. Corey thought of everything. Snacks and drinks were provided, and lunch at El Tovar was included, which made the day feel seamless and relaxed. His great personality, sense of humor, and thoughtful attention to detail made the entire tour even more enjoyable. If you are considering a Grand Canyon tour, choosing a small, personalized company like Above and Beyond makes all the difference. The experience felt authentic, unhurried, and truly special. We cannot recommend Corey and his tour company highly enough. It was a beautiful, memorable day that we will always be grateful for.

Private Grand Canyon Tour with Lunch from Williams or Flagstaff: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Flagstaff.
How much does Private Grand Canyon Tour with Lunch from Williams or Flagstaff cost?
+
Prices start at $629 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Flagstaff usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Grand Canyon Tour with Lunch from Williams or Flagstaff take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Flagstaff is not rushed.
Is Private Grand Canyon Tour with Lunch from Williams or Flagstaff worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Flagstaff, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Grand Canyon Tour with Lunch from Williams or Flagstaff?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Grand Canyon Tour with Lunch from Williams or Flagstaff suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Grand Canyon Tour with Lunch from Williams or Flagstaff?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Flagstaff can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Flagstaff and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Grand Canyon Tour with Lunch from Williams or Flagstaff start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Flagstaff within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Flagstaff?
+
Flagstaff sits at 7,000 feet between the Grand Canyon, Sedona and Antelope Canyon: day tours to all three, plus Lowell Observatory stargazing and Route 66 history walks. On Outty we rank every Flagstaff experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small-Group Grand Canyon Day Tour from Flagstaff, Grand Canyon Tour from Flagstaff, Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend Day Tour from Flagstaff. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Flagstaff?
+
May to October for canyon trips, December to March for snow at Snowbowl. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Flagstaff?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
