Discovering Iceland
We spent two days in Reykjavik and then spent 9 days touring around the island with a private guide. We found it to be an amazing and very enjoyable trip! Fannar, our guide, was wonderful. He made the trip go smoothly and added additional stops and activities as we desired including a bit of fishing and golf. He was so easy to get along with and, of course, is very knowledgeable. We were pleased with our accommodations. Our two initial days in Reykjavik were wonderful. Our driver gave us his top recommendations for things to do on our first day. Our food and drink tour were great and the guide was fun. We went to 3 different spas including the Sky, Forest, and Blue Lagoons and all were great experiences. Iceland is an amazing country! Highlights for us were seeing the glaciers, waterfalls, different wildlife, the lava formations, horseback riding, picturesque scenery, the restaurants, and the lava tunnels. We felt that Hidden Iceland did a great job and we would certainly recommend it to others.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful review! Fannar is an exceptional guide, and we are so proud to have him on our guiding team. He loves sharing his passion for Iceland, so it is fantastic to hear that he could seamlessly weave personal touches like fishing, golf, and his favourite local recommendations into your itinerary. It sounds like your Travel Expert also planned a fantastically varied itinerary for you - from the horseback riding to the lava tunnels and the stunning waterfalls to the awe-inspiring glacier scenery - it sounds like you truly immersed yourselves in everything Iceland has to offer. I will gladly share your kind compliments with Fannar and the rest of the team. Thank you for choosing Hidden Iceland and for recommending us to other travellers.

7-night winter journey through Iceland- Trip of a Lifetime!!
Our 7-night winter journey through Iceland was nothing short of extraordinary. Nina did a wonderful job planning the trip and making sure all of our planning needs were thoughtfully met from the very beginning. The itinerary was beautifully designed and clearly tailored to our family. Winter travel in Iceland requires flexibility, and every time weather or timing shifted, Einar adjusted seamlessly. We were always in the right place at the right time without ever feeling stressed or rushed. His calm confidence made us feel completely taken care of. The experiences were exceptional — exploring breathtaking canyons, going backstage at the Lava Show, and arranging private geology sessions that absolutely thrilled our geology-obsessed 80-year-old grandmother. These weren’t generic stops; they felt intentional and deeply personal. What stood out most was how genuinely Einar took the time to get to know us. From engaging our grandmother in detailed geological conversations to gently motivating our famously hard-to-wake teenager, he connected with each of us in a way that felt natural and sincere. By the end of the week, he felt far more like a friend than a guide. He also made our daughter’s 15th birthday in Iceland unforgettable. Three generations, one incredible adventure — and truly a trip of a lifetime for all of us. We cannot imagine experiencing Iceland any other way.
Response from the operator: Wow, what an incredible review. Thank you for sharing your trip of a lifetime with future travellers. It really makes a difference to show how different we are. Especially, when with our expert guides. Einar really is a delight and is so great at navigating the weather, alongside the operations team behind the scenes. Thank you for your patience during that time. It really sounds like the travel planner and Einar planned the best ever multi-generational trip. Thank you for trusting us with your trip of a lifetime.

Brilliant Iceland trip with Hidden Iceland
Pre-planning and email correspondence with Hidden Iceland was great. We knew what to expect, when payments were due and our itinerary, all of which was really helpful for our planning. Their itinerary was brilliant, an excellent selection of hotels, restaurants and activities to suit all the different ages and abilities in our group. We were all so very impressed with Levi as our tour guide. His knowledge of Iceland's culture, history, landscapes and even geology really added something special to the trip. We really appreciated his flexibility in accommodating our group and letting us spend time in each location, while still managing to show us everything on the list. We also have a lot of praise for your 'subcontractors' such as Paul at the ATVs and Michal on the glacier. They were well organised and accommodated our large group well, with all our different levels of skill. All in all a brilliant family holiday!
Response from the operator: Hi Erica, Thank you for this truly brilliant reivew. We believe that the perfect trip starts right from the very first email and call, so it's great to hear you had such a pleasant experience before the trip, planning, as much as when you were in the country with our guides. Levi really does so much to make the trip as great as possible, so it's so heartwarming to read that you you go on so well with him (and our local partners for your activities).

Excellent Tour Company and Guide!
Our trip to Iceland was absolutely excellent. The itinerary Hidden Iceland curated worked perfectly for us - we saw everything we wanted to see and were fortunate enough to witness amazing northern lights each night of the tour. The accommodations were wonderful, and ending our trip at the Blue Lagoon was the perfect choice. It gave us a relaxing way to conclude the journey while making the commute back to the airport incredibly easy. I have to give special recognition to our guide Fannar - he was outstanding. His knowledge of Iceland was impressive, and his flexibility in adapting to our interests really enhanced the experience. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. Thank you again for designing such a memorable trip for our family. We truly appreciated all the care and attention you put into the planning.
Response from the operator: Hi Mohammed, Thank you so much for giving such an excellent review. And so lovely to hear that you managed to see the Northern Lights every night. So lucky! Thank you for the kind words for Fannar. He, and the travel planning team, add so much to the trip. We're glad you had such a wonderful time. We look forward to having you back one day.

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Golden Circle, Sky Lagoon and Friðheimar Greenhouse Lunch: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Reykjavik.
How much does Private Golden Circle, Sky Lagoon and Friðheimar Greenhouse Lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $3215 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Reykjavik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Golden Circle, Sky Lagoon and Friðheimar Greenhouse Lunch take?
+
Plan for about 9.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Reykjavik is not rushed.
Is Private Golden Circle, Sky Lagoon and Friðheimar Greenhouse Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 386 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Reykjavik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Golden Circle, Sky Lagoon and Friðheimar Greenhouse Lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Golden Circle, Sky Lagoon and Friðheimar Greenhouse Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Golden Circle, Sky Lagoon and Friðheimar Greenhouse Lunch?
+
Around 135 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Reykjavik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Reykjavik and add a light layer if any part of the 9.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Golden Circle, Sky Lagoon and Friðheimar Greenhouse Lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Reykjavik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Reykjavik?
+
On Outty we rank every Reykjavik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Reykjavik Food Walk - Local Foodie Adventure in Iceland, Small-Group Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon with Ticket & Kerid Crater, Reykjavík Small group Walking Tour - by CityWalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Reykjavik?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Reykjavik?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
