About this experience
The goal of this day trip is to take you away from the hustle and bustle of Barcelona with your family or friends, in a private way, to let you enjoy the Mediterranean breeze. As soon as we leave Barcelona we immerse ourselves in the Catalan countryside. The first stop is Girona (Game of Thrones?). A perfect mix of history, architecture, and...food! We will take a nice stroll through the narrow streets of the Old Town and the Roman Walls. Right after we will move into the Catalan Countryside, we deserve to be surrounded by nature. The second stop is Peratallada, probably the most charming and less-known medieval village in the Empordà region. A nice stroll around and a few pictures later we will take you for lunch at Calella de Palafrugell, an old fishing village formed by several coves that still preserve the charm of the villages of the area, with narrow streets and some traditional two-floor fishermen’s dwellings. BRING YOUR SWIMWEAR IN SUMMER!

You Should Book This Awesome Tour!
We signed up for this trip a few weeks before our departure and the registration was fast and simple. We received meeting instructions, and on the day of the tour, we met on time by our guide. Giulio was an amazing guide. It's about an hour van ride to the first destination, and he provided great historical information that kept us entertained during our trip. Once we arrived in Girona, our first destination was brief stop at a fantastic local bakery to get everyone ready for the tour. The tour immediately started then with a brief walk to the Eiffel Bridge, and then many really fascinating locations through the older part of Girona. It was absolutely beautiful. We loved all of the Girona portion, and Giulio again provided some very helpful history of Girona and Spain in general. Next stop for this Costa Brava tour was a very small but truly beautiful village of Peratallada. Very small town, but you immediately get the vibe of the village. We spent about 45 minutes there (a few minutes included enjoying a spectacular vermut from a store owner) before we headed to the gorgeous coastal town of Calella de Palafrugell. Simply stunning! A bucket list place to see and visit. We spent quite a bit of time enjoying the sea here. This was just fabulous. This tour was likely the highlight of our entire vacation. My wife and I can't stop talking about everything was saw and did on this tour. I only wish we could have spent this tour over the course of a few weeks. These tour stops were just incredible, and we'd like to do this again.
Response from the operator: This is what we are trying to achieve in every single tour! Thank you

It was one of the highlights of our trip. Carlos was fantastic. He was patient and kind/ never rushing us and making sure we had many bathroom breaks. The history was excellent and not too little it too much. He connected with everyone in our group.

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private: Girona and Costa Brava adventure from Barcelona: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.
How much does Private: Girona and Costa Brava adventure from Barcelona cost?
+
Prices start at $700 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private: Girona and Costa Brava adventure from Barcelona take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.
Is Private: Girona and Costa Brava adventure from Barcelona worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private: Girona and Costa Brava adventure from Barcelona?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private: Girona and Costa Brava adventure from Barcelona suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private: Girona and Costa Brava adventure from Barcelona?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private: Girona and Costa Brava adventure from Barcelona start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Barcelona?
+
Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Barcelona?
+
May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Barcelona?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
