Exceptional Tour, Exceptional Guide

I booked a last-minute tour through GetYourGuide on a whim, not really knowing what to expect, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Augusto graciously arranged a fun-filled day for our family. He arrived right on time to pick us up at our hotel and spent the day showing us the beauty of Catalonia. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Girona and even conducted a multilingual tour for our family—English for my parents and Spanish for my husband. Augusto is not your ordinary tour guide. By the end of the day, he truly feels like part of your group. He accommodated every request we had, made sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time, took wonderful pictures of us throughout the day, and even carried my wheelchair so I could experience places I otherwise would not have been able to see. He truly went above and beyond for our family. My only regret is that we didn’t have more time in Barcelona because we would have loved to plan more day trips with him. Don’t hesitate to book a tour with Augusto. This is an incredible way to experience Catalonia, and having a private guide makes all the difference. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Private tour

We booked a private tour covering Girona, Costa Brava, and Montserrat, and overall had a truly enjoyable experience. Our guide’s English was limited, but we could clearly see how hard he tried to communicate and make our day special. His flexibility, politeness, and genuine knowledge of the region and its history made the tour both smooth and memorable. He adjusted the pace to our needs, made thoughtful stops, and ensured we saw the most beautiful highlights of each destination. Despite the language barrier, his warm attitude and effort made us feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout the day. We appreciated the experience and would happily recommend their services to anyone looking for a friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable private tour in the area.

History, Views, and Game of Thrones Magic 🤩🤩🤩🤩

I absolutely loved the convenient door-to-door service—it made the entire experience stress-free from start to finish. Augusto was an exceptional tour guide. He was patient, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. I learned so much about the city’s history and culture, and he even gave me a few fun Spanish lessons along the way, which made the tour even more memorable. One of my favorite parts was his recommendation for a waterfront restaurant with breathtaking views and delicious food. It was the perfect way to end the day. This tour is ideal for anyone who wants to capture beautiful photos of historic landmarks. And if you’re a Game of Thrones fan, you’re in for a real treat—you’ll be amazed by the filming locations and fascinating behind-the-scenes stories. I had an amazing experience and would absolutely book another tour with Augusto in the future. Highly recommended!

A great time!

Augusto was our guide and he was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, took his time to share facts about the sites we saw and along the drive to and from the locations. He did well speaking in English and teaching us a little Spanish. Would recommend!

Private Girona & Costa Brava Tour with pickup from Barcelona: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.

How much does Private Girona & Costa Brava Tour with pickup from Barcelona cost?

+

Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Girona & Costa Brava Tour with pickup from Barcelona take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.

Is Private Girona & Costa Brava Tour with pickup from Barcelona worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 38 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Girona & Costa Brava Tour with pickup from Barcelona?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Girona & Costa Brava Tour with pickup from Barcelona suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Private Girona & Costa Brava Tour with pickup from Barcelona?

+

Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Girona & Costa Brava Tour with pickup from Barcelona start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Barcelona?

+

Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

+

May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Barcelona?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
