About this experience
Step off the ship and I will be at the gangway with your name on a board and the Mercedes a few steps away. We take the Antrim coast road north, Ballygally first with the Glens ahead and Scotland across the water, through Glenarm and Cushendall to Carrick-a-Rede and the Giant's Causeway. Dunluce Castle is on the way back, the Dark Hedges an optional extra. In the afternoon we come back into Belfast for the Titanic Quarter, City Hall and the murals, close to your ship, and I have you back at the terminal with time in hand. We agree a return time and I keep to it. We have never missed a sailing. Your party only, never shared, in a Mercedes V-Class for up to six, with an ONC accredited tour guide at the wheel, a member of Tour Guides Northern Ireland (TGNI). Tolls, parking and water included. Chauffeur partner to two of Belfast's finest hotels, the Merchant Hotel and Regency House. They trust us with their guests every week, and you can trust us with your day ashore.

Robert was the best
Robert was great. He took over from a Portrush driver who took our money, then ghosted us. Robert was trustworthy and went beyond driving us. You can count on Robert taking care of you.
Response from the operator: Hi Marilyn & Charlie, It was a pleasure looking after you both and making sure everything was taken care of. When travelling, trust and reliability matter. Choosing an established, reputable company with strong relationships with Belfast’s leading hotels gives you that added peace of mind. Thank you again for your kind words and for trusting me. I hope to welcome you back to Northern Ireland soon. Take care and enjoy that Texas sunshine. Robert

Great tour - History included!
Robert did an awesome job with our group and provided some interesting history to go along with the tour! The private tour for the three couples was perfect. There was a lot of travel time in the van but we saw much of the countryside which was gorgeous. We would definitely book with Robert if we are ever in Ireland again.
Response from the operator: Hi Staci, Thank you for your kind review. When travelling to the Giant's Causeway it does take a bit of time, the scenic drive along the County Antrim Coast Road with a few breaks certainly helps. The stories (Famine Stone) and culture (The Glens people and don't forget the Fairy Tree) certainly help break up the journey. Thank you again, Robert

Private Giant’s Causeway excursion from Belfast
We found our guide Robert Craig friendly, welcoming and a wealth of knowledge about his local area. The Mercedes van was well equipped with comfortable seating for 6 and AC worked great on a warm day. We had an impromptu stop at the Royal Portrush Clubhouse including a tour of the clubhouse and trophy case from one of the employees named Michael. He was gracious and friendly, delighting the many golfers in the group with course history and anecdotes. We stopped for lunch at a lovely local pub followed by the best ice cream at a neighboring shop. Breath taking views and scenery throughout our tour and a trip to visit Giant’s Causeway did not disappoint. I cannot recommend this tour company highly enough. I found Robert Craig easy to deal with planning this trip from the states. I had trouble with my credit card leaving the deposit and he trusted me to just pay in full the day of our tour. Thank you Robert, it was a pleasure. Our pick up from the cruise port was quick and easy.
Response from the operator: Hi Connie, Thank you so much for this wonderful review, it was a real pleasure to look after you and the group out on the Causeway. I am delighted you enjoyed the day, from Michael's stories and the trophy case at Royal Portrush to the pub lunch, the ice cream and those coastal views. The impromptu clubhouse stop is exactly the kind of moment we love to make happen. Thank you again for your kind words, and if you are ever back on this side of the water, we would be glad to welcome you again. Robert Diamond Chauffeurs Ireland

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Giant's Causeway and Belfast Shore Excursion, Cruise Port: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Belfast.
How much does Private Giant's Causeway and Belfast Shore Excursion, Cruise Port cost?
+
Prices start at $933 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Belfast usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Giant's Causeway and Belfast Shore Excursion, Cruise Port take?
+
Plan for about 7.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Belfast is not rushed.
Is Private Giant's Causeway and Belfast Shore Excursion, Cruise Port worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Belfast, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Giant's Causeway and Belfast Shore Excursion, Cruise Port?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Giant's Causeway and Belfast Shore Excursion, Cruise Port suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Giant's Causeway and Belfast Shore Excursion, Cruise Port?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Belfast can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Belfast and add a light layer if any part of the 7.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Giant's Causeway and Belfast Shore Excursion, Cruise Port start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Belfast within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Belfast?
+
On Outty we rank every Belfast experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include A History of Terror - Belfast City Centre Walking Tour, Belfast Troubles Tour: Walls and Bridges, Giants Causeway and Castles from Belfast: Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Belfast?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Belfast?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
