The Inca Yunqui, whose grief shook the mountain, believed that no earthly grave could compare with this lake. Obviously in summer the lack of snow makes the scenery probably not as majestic as it is in winter
This trip up the Pass was one i 'had" to do from my bucket list, but unfortunately had to be taken without snow being on the mountains. There was only us on the tour. The driver was on time and friendly. The mini bus was modern and clean. Unfortunately the drive to the Pass had little interest and the lack of snow on the Pass and at the Lake took away much of grandeur of the views shown on photographs taken in winter The Ski Hotel restuarant with Lake views was open for lunch at reasonable prices. In summary unless you want or and have to take the trip in Summer it may not be the spectacular trip you are looking for.

Great trip to visit a dream lagoon and make new friends
Did the Portillo-Inca Lagoon, had a wonderful time, Nano (our guide/driver guy) was great, I highly recommend this trip. I met new people and make new friends. The only thing I can complaint about, it was that I was staying at a hotel close to airport, and they couldn't pick me up from the hotel.
Response from the operator: We're glad you enjoyed the tour with us and our team, we'll tell Nano about the comments you left for him! the satisfaction of our costumers is priority. We invite you to check our other tours which offer a variety of unique and unforgettable moments. Best regards, MTO Tour Team

very disappointing
Paid $240 US dollars to go to a snow field, all there was, was a few ice sheets, it was nothing like the advertised photo. To take my girlfriend, that has never seen snow there was a real let down. I would say hasn’t been snow their for 2 months and yet you are still selling this as a snow field experience.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your comment and feedback, it helps us be better! Best regards, MTO Tour Team

Portillo Sky Center and Inca Lagoon
We had contracted the visit to Cajon del Maipo, due to an accident that occurred to some tourists, it will be closed until further notice. For that reason we were offered to visit the Sky Portillo centre and accepted the proposal immediately. We were fascinated with the place, it was a wonderful experience. Fully recommended.
Response from the operator: ¡Gracias por tu amable comentario! Nos complace saber que tuvo una buena experiencia aún cuando hubieron contratiempos. Esperamos contar con usted y / o sus amigos a bordo en otro de nuestros tours pronto. Atentamente, MTO Tour Team.

Incredible the place
The trip to the place is already with stunning landscapes. Getting it cold is just one item of this wonderful place. Integration with the mountain is the difference.
Response from the operator: Estimado Papael2013 Agradecemos o seu comentário em nosso perfil. É muito agradável saber que aprecio o nosso serviço e a atenção do nosso guia. Para nós, é muito importante que possamos melhorar ainda mais. Private Full-Day Tour: Portillo Ski Center and Inca Lagoon from Santiago: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santiago.
How much does Private Full-Day Tour: Portillo Ski Center and Inca Lagoon from Santiago cost?
+
Prices start at $170 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santiago usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Full-Day Tour: Portillo Ski Center and Inca Lagoon from Santiago take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santiago is not rushed.
Is Private Full-Day Tour: Portillo Ski Center and Inca Lagoon from Santiago worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santiago, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Full-Day Tour: Portillo Ski Center and Inca Lagoon from Santiago?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Full-Day Tour: Portillo Ski Center and Inca Lagoon from Santiago suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Full-Day Tour: Portillo Ski Center and Inca Lagoon from Santiago?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santiago can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santiago and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Full-Day Tour: Portillo Ski Center and Inca Lagoon from Santiago start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santiago within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Santiago?
+
On Outty we rank every Santiago experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Maipo Valley Wine Region: 4 Wineries, Tastings & Foodie Tour, Valparaiso Port and Viña del Mar with Casablanca Wine Tasting, Tour to Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, Pablo Neruda Museum and Vineyard. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Santiago?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Santiago?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
