    1. Salto El Puquen

After a 2-hour drive north from Santiago (approximately 116mi), we will arrive in Puquén, Bioparque Los Molles, where we will embark on a leisurely 3-hour walk. This pristine protected area preserves the natural wonders of Chile's central coast, offering a unique scenic beauty shaped by its geography and rich biodiversity. Visitors can admire a variety of species, including steppe shrubs and abundant flowers that paint the landscape with a vibrant palette of colors during the spring season. This area is recognized as a priority site for conservation, and it boasts multiple geological formations worth exploring. Among its main attractions is a blowhole known as Puquén. During high tide, water rushes landward through a vertical shaft, resulting in awe-inspiring blasts of water and wind that reach remarkable heights. Nearby, you can also witness a 'Lobera,' an island hosting a large colony of South American sea lions. Here, you can observe their activities and listen to their calls.

    2. Isla Cachagua

In the afternoon, we'll drive south for about 30 minutes, passing through the coastal towns of Papudo and Zapallar, until we reach Cachagua. At this final stop, a short 1.5-mile walk along a beautiful coastal trail is offered. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to encounter amazing wildlife, highly recommended for bird lovers. You'll pass by the tranquil waters of Las Cujas beach before reaching Cachagua beach. In a corner of this extensive sandy area, the group will have a chance to observe, about 300 feet away, a refuge for incredible wildlife: the Natural Monument of Cachagua Island. Home to 14 coastal and oceanic bird species, it's a fragile and unique ecosystem. One highlight is the Humboldt Penguin, endemic to the Humboldt Current, and if lucky, you might spot the Chungungo, the world's smallest marine mammal

    Come in Spring

A quiet, contemplative walk along a beautiful coastline. Unfortunately, since it was autumn, the vegetation was very dry, we saw few flowers and animals. But you can imagine what it should be like in spring. Oh, the sandwiches were delicious. Next time, I'll bring a bottle of wine.

Really great tour for nature lovers! With Nicolas as guide a truly unforgettable day.

This tour with Nicolas gets our unqualified recommendation! He is an incredibly devoted and very competent nature guide and showed us the most beautiful places between Los Molles and Zapallar: a never-seen vegetation, a lot of bird species in bright weather. An extraordinarily successful mix of route, easy hikes with truly breathtaking views. We had best sandwiches and a very attentive guide. I would book the tour again anytime! Thanks, Nicolas!

    Walk along the coast

A wonderful experience. We could appreciate the coast from a unique perspective. Nicolas was a great guide and explained every detail. It was beautiful to see sea lions, penguins and especially mushrooms. Definitivamente recomendamos Coigue Expeditions.

Response from the operator: ¡Muchísimas gracias por tu comentario!

Private Garden Tour in Central Coast of Chile with Lunch included: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santiago.

How much does Private Garden Tour in Central Coast of Chile with Lunch included cost?

    +

Prices start at $220 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santiago usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Garden Tour in Central Coast of Chile with Lunch included take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santiago is not rushed.

Is Private Garden Tour in Central Coast of Chile with Lunch included worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santiago, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Garden Tour in Central Coast of Chile with Lunch included?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Garden Tour in Central Coast of Chile with Lunch included suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Garden Tour in Central Coast of Chile with Lunch included?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santiago can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santiago and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Garden Tour in Central Coast of Chile with Lunch included start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santiago within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Santiago?

    +

On Outty we rank every Santiago experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Maipo Valley Wine Region: 4 Wineries, Tastings & Foodie Tour, Valparaiso Port and Viña del Mar with Casablanca Wine Tasting, Tour to Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, Pablo Neruda Museum and Vineyard. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Santiago?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Santiago?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
