Civitatis is not responsible for its failures

The guide was very friendly, but several of the comments could not be heard because the equipment failed and sometimes she had to speak softly because there were more people, and I didn't know how to hear her. When I complained, since the price was high, 34.50 euros, they did not pay any attention to me, a total disappointment, they told me that they were not obliged to have equipment that worked, that the group was small and we could hear it without the , and I guarantee you that it was not that small and there were many people in the escorial besides us, a total lack of professionalism, I will not do a tour with civitatis again paying in advance

--------- Hello, You are doing us a lot of harm with this FAKE review. We are NOT Civitatis and we do NOT work with civitatis. This review IS NOT for us. PLEASE remove it as soon as possible. just read on the tour you have written: PRIVATE TOUR. YOU DID NOT DO A PRIVATE TOUR. You are hurting a legitimate company with your fake review and you NEVER went with us. 34,50€? Private tour? With this alone you have to realize that this client did NOT do the tour with us and is telling LIES.

    Amazing experience!

I had a wonderful day .. Firstly the actual locations were simply amazing . To see La Escorial after reading so much about it was like a step back in history for me but the real surprise was The Valley of the Fallen ...I confess that I didn’t know about it before I booked the tour. It was simply breathtaking!!! I could have spent all day just sitting looking at it. But is was more than the locations that made this a rather special day for me. Robert, my driver, was just so lovely and made sure that I was well looked after including where I might stop for lunch ( which was delicious) and taking me to vantage points where I could get some great photos. Finally, Robert was so well informed about Spanish history and spoke really great English so I not only had the fabulous experience but also a chance to talk about history, my favourite topic. I learned lots of interesting facts and stories to add to my growing understanding of Spanish history and culture. I cannot recommend these guys any more than to say that I would most definitely book again for another tour in the future.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your review and for taking time in writing it for us and future travellers! The Escorial and Valley of the Fallen is truly a unique site to visit ! We are glad that Roberto was able to live up to your expectations. We always try to make each and every experience unique and truly one to remember! Our whole team is at your disposition if you need anything else in any other city. Take care and hope to see you soon! Take care, Kind regards, The Tour Travel & More Team

Private full day Tour Madrid, Escorial and Valley of the Fallen: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Madrid.

How much does Private full day Tour Madrid, Escorial and Valley of the Fallen cost?

    +

Prices start at $206 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Madrid usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private full day Tour Madrid, Escorial and Valley of the Fallen take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Madrid is not rushed.

Is Private full day Tour Madrid, Escorial and Valley of the Fallen worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Madrid, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private full day Tour Madrid, Escorial and Valley of the Fallen?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private full day Tour Madrid, Escorial and Valley of the Fallen suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private full day Tour Madrid, Escorial and Valley of the Fallen?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Madrid and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private full day Tour Madrid, Escorial and Valley of the Fallen start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Madrid within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Madrid?

    +

On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Oscuro: Torture, Ghosts, Crimes and Legends. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Madrid?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Madrid?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
