Island Views great - Managed Expectations Bad - Rudeness and Rushed

Booked through our hotel. Sold as a private by boat trip for the 4 of us and we could have a say in where it went to an extent. With full bar on board, lunch, swimming spots etc. Let’s start with first impressions - Pick up from the hotel and dropping back at the hotel. So pick up was fine gentlemen was professional and polite. Upon arriving at the harbour the boat looked amazing staff were polite and welcoming. (Staff called Eddy the captain, Noby the deck hand and Irene the hostess. ) There was a document to sign which was standard I guess and I gave my email the day before waiting for the document to sign - this didn’t come and then I had to try and sign this for the first 25 minutes of the boat ride with the hostess asking me all the time. Then when I do get it it’s in Greek and I don’t know what I am signing - not great organising. Point to note it would be good if the hostess was a little more reserved with her chat - perhaps asking if wanted to enjoy the trip or be talked to. Drinks on offer were beer, white wine, soft drinks and water - not really a full bar but fine for us - would be good if it didn’t run out though. (I was drinking Coke Zero) They had preplanned the trip not as we were told but still fine because they knew the best places to stop I guess - although the whole atmosphere changed towards the end of the trip as we were being hurried and told we couldn’t do things on board before the end of the trip - not being allowed on the sun lounger etc.( I guess because they didn’t want us making the Louger wet for the next people) Taking towels, generally hurrying to tidy up and the hostess démena was rushing us and short. The lunch was ok swordfish or meat guros with chips. Glass of wine, soft drink, and water. But after lunch the trip took on a feeling of that’s your lot now and we still had over an hour to before 3.30 when it was supposed to end. Noby the deck hand taking the towels abruptly that we had on the upper deck whilst we were still on board around 3 pm. The reason of the tidying and hurrying us was that they had another group coming on the boat straight after us - I suppose for the sunset tour. Not professional or any part of a luxury tour. Would be good if you let your clients exit before the boat properly before getting the next group on. To sum it up it’s a lot of money - we paid 1700 euros and there was 4 of us 3 adults one child. We pushed ourselves to have this special treat, it could have been a lot better if just a few little bits were thought about better and more professional. We are glad we did the cruise as seeing the island from the sea was amazing and the swim stops were cool but felt it was spoilt by the hurriedness and other issues which weren’t as we were told. Don’t think it was worth the money to be honest but Santorini is not a cheap island let’s face it.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the boat, the swimming stops, and the unique views of Santorini. We would like to clarify that your cruise started from Vlychada Marina and ended at Ammoudi Bay in Oia. This allowed you to enjoy approximately one additional hour at sea, including more time for swimming and relaxing during the cruise. Regarding the feeling of being rushed towards the end, we are sorry that this was your impression. Ammoudi Bay is a particularly busy area, where boats approach one after another, and the time available for safe disembarkation is limited. It is possible that the necessary preparations for our approach created this feeling. Throughout the cruise, however, our crew was there to assist you with hospitality and professionalism, both to help with anything you needed and to provide information about the cruise, Santorini, its history, and the points of interest you encountered along the way. In any case, we take your comments seriously, as every piece of feedback helps us further improve our services. Kind regards, Spiridakos Sailing Cruises

An Amazing Private Boat Experience! ⛵️❤️

We are extremely happy with our private boat trip and would highly recommend this company! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish, and the service was very professional. The boat was in excellent condition, very well maintained and comfortable, and the captain made us feel completely safe throughout the entire trip. A very special mention goes to Irena, who was an absolutely wonderful hostess – incredibly kind, helpful, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to making our experience special. She took great care of us throughout the trip and made sure everything was perfect. We had an amazing time and truly enjoyed every moment. We wholeheartedly recommend this company and the entire crew, especially Irena. Thank you for such a wonderful experience! ❤️

Private Full-Day Motor Yacht Cruise with Meal, Open Bar+Transfers: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santorini.

How much does Private Full-Day Motor Yacht Cruise with Meal, Open Bar+Transfers cost?

    +

Prices start at $470 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santorini usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Full-Day Motor Yacht Cruise with Meal, Open Bar+Transfers take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santorini is not rushed.

Is Private Full-Day Motor Yacht Cruise with Meal, Open Bar+Transfers worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 84 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santorini, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Full-Day Motor Yacht Cruise with Meal, Open Bar+Transfers?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Full-Day Motor Yacht Cruise with Meal, Open Bar+Transfers suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Full-Day Motor Yacht Cruise with Meal, Open Bar+Transfers?

    +

Around 29 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santorini can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santorini and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Full-Day Motor Yacht Cruise with Meal, Open Bar+Transfers start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santorini within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Santorini?

    +

On Outty we rank every Santorini experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Premium Catamaran Cruise in Santorini including Oia, Private Santorini Tailor Made - Choice of the Guest!, Private Classic Santorini Panorama: Visit Top Destinations. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Santorini?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Santorini?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
