Musee Berbere Jardin Majorelle
We continue inside this magnificent garden our discovery of the Berber Museum , inaugurated in 2011 under the High Patronage of His Majesty Mohammed VI, King of Morocco, is housed in the former painting studio of the artist Jacques Majorelle. It presents a panorama of the extraordinary creativity of the Berbers (Imazighen), the most ancient people of North Africa. More than 600 objects, collected from the Rif Mountains to the Sahara by Pierre Bergé and Yves Saint Laurent, attest to the richness and diversity of this vibrant culture, which is still very much alive today.

Musee Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech
After completing our discovery, a stone's throw from the Majorelle Gardens, we visit the Yves Saint Laurent Museum ,Dedicated to the work of the legendary French fashion designer, this last opened its doors in autumn 2017. It houses an important selection from the Fondation Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent’s impressive collection, which comprises 5,000 items of clothing, 15,000 haute couture accessories as well as tens of thousands of sketches and assorted objects. The building has been designed by the French architecture firm Studio KO, founded by architects Olivier Marty and Karl Fournier. The new building spans over 4,000 m2 and is more than just a museum. It features a 400 m2 permanent exhibition space, showcasing Yves Saint Laurent’s work within an original scenography designed by Christophe Martin; a 150 m2 temporary exhibition space, a 130-seat auditorium, a bookshop, a café-restaurant with a terrace and a research library housing 5,000 books

It served as an entrance to the administrative and military complex of the Caliphal Kasbah, citadel of power, from the south of the city. Flanked by 2 cannons, it is one of the most impressive gates of Marrakech.

Built by Grand Vizier Si Moussa in the 1860s, the salons of both the Petit Riad and Grand Riad host intricate marquetry and zouak ceilings, but the Cour d'Honneur, a grand courtyard, with its 1500 sq metre floor of Italian Carrara marble, is the undisputed highlight. Despite the vast area on show, only a portion of the palace’s eight hectares and 150 rooms is open to the public. Its grand spaces sometimes play host to important cultural events.

Absolutely fabulous tour of Marrakech
Marrakech is undoubtedly a magical city. My friend and I did this tour and it deepened our love for this place. Zaki our tour guide and driver was super knowledgeable about the city. As first time visitors to Marrakech we were so happy that we used this company. He arranged things so well. From timing the crowds at Majorell gardens to being an excellent photographer as we took so many photos at spectacular sites. We also did not feel pressured to purchase anything. This came as such a relief given what we had read beforehand about some guides. A great experience. I would recommend it 100%.
