One of the squares that frames the environment of the Palacio de La Moneda, becoming an icon of civility and a center of civic life. It´s located on the grounds of the old headquarters of the Ministry of War and acquired its current design in 1984, when it was remodeled. The statues of the Presidents of the Republic, Jorge Alessandri Rodríguez, Eduardo Frei Montalva and Salvador Allende Gossens, are placed there as prominent protagonists of the history of Chile.

Designed by the architect Joaquín Toesca, this palace is the main work of neoclassicism in Chile. It became the scene of one of the most decisive events in the history of Chile, as was the bombing that it suffered in 1973. After that fact, a group of architects restored it, keeping the original lines designed by Toesca. It was declared a National Monument in 1951.

    4. Cerro Santa Lucia

Cerro Santa Lucia is one of the most visited public parks by national and foreign tourists, being one of the most recognizable icons of the capital and the country. It is a silent witness of the development that the city of Santiago has had since the arrival of the Spanish conquerors in the Mapocho Valley in 1540.

    5. Vina Santa Rita

You will take a guided tour through a variety garden, vineyards, winemaking process and aging, bottling process visiting the "Bodega 1", the winery's first winery, and the "Bodega de los 120 Patriotas", where you will discover the exciting story that gives the winery its name. Santiago city tour and winery visit is a must do!

Full day of sightseeing with small amount of walking. We had one participant with limited walking ability and our guide worked around this with ease and we didnt miss a thing. Ending the trip with the Santa Rita winery lunch and tour was spectacular. Our guide, Andres, was phenomenal and full of historical knowledge about Santiago and the surrounding areas. He was funny, polite and a pleasure to spend the day with.

Private Full Day City Tour of Santiago with Wine Experience: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santiago.

How much does Private Full Day City Tour of Santiago with Wine Experience cost?

    +

Prices start at $290 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santiago usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Full Day City Tour of Santiago with Wine Experience take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santiago is not rushed.

Is Private Full Day City Tour of Santiago with Wine Experience worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santiago, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Full Day City Tour of Santiago with Wine Experience?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Full Day City Tour of Santiago with Wine Experience suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Full Day City Tour of Santiago with Wine Experience?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santiago can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santiago and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Full Day City Tour of Santiago with Wine Experience start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santiago within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Santiago?

    +

On Outty we rank every Santiago experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Maipo Valley Wine Region: 4 Wineries, Tastings & Foodie Tour, Valparaiso Port and Viña del Mar with Casablanca Wine Tasting, Tour to Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, Pablo Neruda Museum and Vineyard. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Santiago?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Santiago?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Private Full Day City Tour of Santiago with Wine Experience?

    +

Included: Hotel Pick-Up and Drop-Off; Alcoholic beverages; Wine tasting; Live commentary on board; and Professional Guide. Not included: Gratuities; and Travel Insurance. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
