    Two days solo mentoring.

I spent two days with James reviewing some basics (top line anchors, cleaning routes, etc) and got right down to it. Over the course of two days, each of us climbed 5.7,5.8 pitches plus did TONS of awesome ground work related to SAR. James was nothing short of phenomenal in imparting his enormous range of experience-- he is a natural teacher. HIGHLY recommend!

    Irish Canyon Tour

"An absolute adrenaline rush! We did the Irish Canyon full tour that was recommended by Mike from Moab Canyon Tours. The 50-60 feet foot rappel was the highlight, we also enjoyed maneuvering and sliding through tight places during of our trip. Our guide, James Xu was a total pro and made us feel 100% safe even when things got intense. He was a good encouraging guide with a great sense of humor. The views inside the slot canyons are like nothing else. Highly recommend the full-day tour if you want the full experience with James Xu!".

Amazing day in the canyon with a great guide

We had an extraordinary day with our guy, Sean Roberts. His skill, knowledge and enthusiasm were a treat. I felt very safe. He tailored the experience to be challenging, but not overwhelming . Heat to dust to do moves we didn’t know we would be able to do. He shared information of the geography and geology. I enjoyed his upbeat, positive Personality. The Non-safety gear seemed a bit worn (Backpacks and kneepads). The safety gear was in Top shape. We were in the Irish canyon. We did the standard approach to Blarney Left. We learned about various stemming techniques such as the knee bar, butt stem, and elevator shaft.

The best rock and canyon guiding for your family

Sean Roberts Was the most amazing guide for our family of four including eight and 10-year-old boys. We spent two full days with him, climbing and canyoneering. He is technically expert, non-compromising with safety, and deployed the attitude and communication skills of a favorite grade school teacher!

Private Full-Day Canyoneering Tour (In Moab): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Moab.

How much does Private Full-Day Canyoneering Tour (In Moab) cost?

    +

Prices start at $325 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moab usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Full-Day Canyoneering Tour (In Moab) take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Moab is not rushed.

Is Private Full-Day Canyoneering Tour (In Moab) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Moab, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Full-Day Canyoneering Tour (In Moab)?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Private Full-Day Canyoneering Tour (In Moab) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Full-Day Canyoneering Tour (In Moab)?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moab can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moab and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Full-Day Canyoneering Tour (In Moab) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Moab within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Moab?

    +

Moab is the gateway to Arches and Canyonlands: sunrise arch tours, 4x4 runs on Hell's Revenge, Colorado River rafting, canyoneering and dark-sky stargazing. Park entry timing systems change often, so we weight tours that handle reservations for you. On Outty we rank every Moab experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include HIGHLY RATED U-DRIVE Moab Hell’s Revenge UTV Off-Road Adventure, BEST! Hell's Revenge U-Drive 4X4 Tour in Moab +Dinosaur Tracks!, 5-STAR Moab Hell's Revenge UTV U-DRIVE TOUR + DINO TRACKS. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Moab?

    +

April to May and September to October, avoiding peak summer heat. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Moab?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
