Adriatic Blue is a site to be seen

The opportunity to have a private boat across the blue Adriatic waters will be memorable for a long time. We changed up the trip to visit Trojir with a 14th century fort and quaint village. Kids loved weaving through the narrow cobblestone streets and up the fort. We tried local pastries and purchased small paintings in a local shop. We then ventured an hour or so to Pakleni island for lunch at Bacchus (get the grilled octopus) where we relaxed and walked along the narrow beach to find sea glass. It’s mainly a beach to moor a boat and eat only. Then off to Hvar a much larger town that probably requires a full day — our 5 year old was determined to go up to the Hvar Fortress which is a steep but beautiful walk of bougenvellias, succulents and other arid coastal plants. The view of the city and coastline is well worth the climb up for someone in shape to go 288 feet nearly straight up the sea side cliffs The hour + boat ride back was a salty soak with high winds and waves — I was drenched from the ride but honestly it was amazing. Smart to pack a small dry bag of clothes — both our kids 9 and 5 did great despite the long ride and adventurous seas. Matko was a kind and thoughtful captain. The water is still cold in late May so we did not swim or go to the Blue Lagoon.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your lovely review! We’re so glad you and your family had a memorable day exploring Trogir, Pakleni islands, and Hvar. It sounds like a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. We’re happy to hear Captain Matko made your trip even better. Thanks for the great tips and kind words — we’d love to welcome you back again someday! Best regards

    Great day and experience!!

We had an amazing day with Matko! He was a perfect guide, with local tips and took us to the most beautiful places outside of peak hours. He was a super skilled skipper and we had a great adventure:) he was flexible and even made a reservation for lunch for us in Paklani. Communication with Toni before our trip was also seamless! Would recommend!

    Croatia at is finest

We wanted to see more of Croatia and friends had recommended hiring a boat. This experience was amazing, Matko took us to traditional Croatia, away from all the tourists and we truly saw and swam in the most picturesque of places. My boys loved Matko who was very friendly and we had the most perfect day.

Private Full-Day Boat Tour to Blue Lagoon, Hvar & Pakleni Islands: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Split.

How much does Private Full-Day Boat Tour to Blue Lagoon, Hvar & Pakleni Islands cost?

    +

Prices start at $959 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Split usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Full-Day Boat Tour to Blue Lagoon, Hvar & Pakleni Islands take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Split is not rushed.

Is Private Full-Day Boat Tour to Blue Lagoon, Hvar & Pakleni Islands worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Split, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Full-Day Boat Tour to Blue Lagoon, Hvar & Pakleni Islands?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Full-Day Boat Tour to Blue Lagoon, Hvar & Pakleni Islands suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Full-Day Boat Tour to Blue Lagoon, Hvar & Pakleni Islands?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Split can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Split and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Full-Day Boat Tour to Blue Lagoon, Hvar & Pakleni Islands start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Split within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Split?

    +

On Outty we rank every Split experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Split Small-Group Walking Tour with a Magister of History, Split Walking Tour with Professor of History, From Split: Krka Waterfalls, Food & Wine Tasting Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Split?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Split?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
