Amazing Antonio who made our day unforgettable

Antonio was the best- picked us up in a 2022 Mercedes van, which was impeccably clean. We had two stops arranged by him, unforgettable Mostar in Bosnia and a private oyster tour on a boat, which was incredible. Everything was on time, was more than we ever expected, the service was wonderful, and I highly recommend.

    A really wonderful journey

I liked that the tour was a free and easy one where we got to choose what we wanted to do and there was no rush. Tatjana, our driver, was very attentive to our needs and even took us for coffee! She drove well and the car was superb (clean, comfy & spacious). Would recommend this to others.

    Great Trip - Poor Communication

This was a nice tour of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Croatian coastline. Cons: This is a mom and pop type operation. The tour description is correct, however since we were in Dubrovnik, we decided to not go to Split - but still do the rest. We messaged the company, who acknowledged that we were NOT going to Split. The driver/guide arrived in the morning as planned, but barely spoke English. We told the driver we were not going to Split and acted as if he understood. Halfway to Split I figured something was wrong. I told the driver in another way that we are not going to Split. He was surprised and called his son to clarify. The driver was the father of the son who owns the company. The father is not a full time tour guide, rather an operations engineer for a cargo ship. This was his off time. That said, he knew the area very well. When paying this kind of money we expect better. The man (I believe his name is Mio) is delightful and took us to some cool places. No fault of Mio or his nice personality, it is simply poor management of the company. We've done private tours everywhere in the world, this set the lower end of the range for the experience. Why not a "2" rating, instead of a "3"? The man was very nice and went out of his way to show us many things off the beaten path. He struggled with English, but was truly accommodating and flexible once understanding that we weren't going to Split.

Response from the operator: Dear Kristy, Please could You send us screenshot where did You tell that You want to go to Mostar, we can’t find that message, We have only message where You asked If we can change pickup, instead from Split to start tour from Dubrovnik and we acknowledged that and response You within few minutes, so we completely disagree with Your claims of poor management etc… We are really sorry that You are not satisfied because we think that You are the first one who is not happy with our service, Wish You all the best in future, Maci-Tours

    +

How far in advance should I book Private Full-day Dubrovnik and Ston Tour from Split?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Split can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Split and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Split?

    +

On Outty we rank every Split experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Split Small-Group Walking Tour with a Magister of History, Split Walking Tour with Professor of History, From Split: Krka Waterfalls, Food & Wine Tasting Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Split?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Split?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
