Fengjing and Xitang with Penny
This was out last tour during our three days in Shanghai and the best day. Penny was our guide, she told us of the water towns prior to arrival and what was the difference between the two. Fengjing was as expected, not crowded, maybe cause this was a Monday. Great for taking photos, we even visited the Wedding Museum. Xitang was where we stop for dinner and the lights, yes it was more commercial, but the lights are beautiful and walking along the paths and bridges are pleasant and something to see. Penny was personable and we chatted along the way, answered our questions gave us plenty of time to take photos and shop. Penny even help negotiate better prices for us when we shopped. She brought out the adventure in us and tried foods that we had not had before. Penny even step out of her way and reconfirmed our driver to the airport the next day. She is a "GEM". You will not be disappointed in this tour. I only wish we had know of Penny and Shanghai Melody tours, we would had booked our walking tour with Penny such as to French Concession and Tianzifang..

Great evening out!
We were three to join the trip. Our guide Kelly was great! She was very knowledgeable and kept the trip very interesting and personal. She even offered to help out after the trip, in case we had any questions during our further stay in Shanghai. Fengjing was a beautiful small (romantic) town. Xitang was very animated, being there on a Sunday. Loved the experience. The only thing I would say about this trip, is that it is quite steep in price if you are a small number.
Response from the operator: Dear Hemul, thanks for your wonderful review, we are so happy that you had a great experience with us. Your good remarks are great encouragement to us. This is a all-inclusive evening tour of 10 hours. We order all local best for our visitors. So far it is the best money value we could offer, but we will take your conments to control tour price in any possible better way in the future. Looking forward to meeting you again in the future.

How much does Private Fengjing and Xitang Water Town Sunset Boating Tour with Dinner from Shanghai cost?

+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Shanghai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

How far in advance should I book Private Fengjing and Xitang Water Town Sunset Boating Tour with Dinner from Shanghai?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Shanghai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Shanghai and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Fengjing and Xitang Water Town Sunset Boating Tour with Dinner from Shanghai start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Shanghai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Shanghai?
+
On Outty we rank every Shanghai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Shanghai City Guided Walking Tour | China's 1st and Best Rated, Private Shanghai Full Day City Tour with Old and New Highlights, Full-Day Private Guided Tour of Shanghai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Shanghai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Shanghai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
