Family Surf lesson
We had an amazing private family surfing lesson with Surf Life Tenerife and I can highly recommend them! Our instructor, Pablo, was really nice. From the very beginning, he made us feel safe, relaxed and well looked after. Before we even entered the water, he took some time on the beach to explain everything thoroughly, making sure we all understood the basics and felt confident. Once we were in the water, Pablo gave us helpful feedback after every wave, which made learning both fun and effective. We especially appreciated how attentive he was to our 9-year-old daughter, making sure she felt comfortable, encouraged and safe throughout the lesson. The surf school also had an additional assistant in the water, who kept an eye on everyone, made sure we didn't drift too close to the shore and gave our daughter extra support whenever she needed it. Having two instructors made us feel very well looked after as a family. We also loved the professional photos taken during our lesson, they are wonderful memories of a great experience. Overall, the whole team was professional, friendly and genuinely focused on making sure everyone had a safe and enjoyable time. Whether you're a complete beginner, more advanced or taking a family lesson with children, I would totally recommend Surf Life Tenerife. We had an amazing experience!....and now we’re all craving more surfing!

A truly 5-star family surf experience!
We had a truly 5-star family experience with Surf Life Tenerife! From the beginning, the team was extremely welcoming, kind and professional. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed, and we felt very well taken care of. The instructors explained everything clearly on the beach before going into the water, which made the experience feel safe and enjoyable for all of us. A special thank you to Maria Luisa and the whole team for their patience, positive energy and kindness, especially with our little one. They made him feel included and comfortable, and that made the moment even more special for our family. It was more than just a surf lesson — it was a beautiful family memory in Tenerife. We definitely recommend Surf Life Tenerife to anyone looking for a fun, safe and unforgettable surf experience. Thank you again, and we hope to come back soon for round two!

The best experience!
The paddleboard surfing lesson was one of the best experiences we had during our vacation. All communication from our booking until our lesson was 10 out of 10; friendly, very responsive, and clear. Our group of six, with no experience, was well greeted and guided the whole time. We had such a great time the whole lesson, and our teachers were the most lively and cheerful people you will meet. Can not recommend them enough - be sure to book them!

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Family Surf Lesson: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.
How much does Private Family Surf Lesson cost?
+
Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Family Surf Lesson take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.
Is Private Family Surf Lesson worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 45 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Family Surf Lesson?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Family Surf Lesson suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Family Surf Lesson?
+
Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Family Surf Lesson start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tenerife?
+
On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tenerife?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tenerife?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
