Nice Day Trip to Essaouira
This was a nice trip to Essaouira. We were picked up early and on time at 8am on the day. The drive took roughly 3 hours and our driver Oualid was very kind, welcoming and accommodating to our family, particularly as we were travelling with a disabled adult and a young child, and the drive is long. We arrived first at a women run co-operative making argon oil. This was an informative experience and allowed us to witness, try and buy some of their products. We then were dropped off at Essaouira where we had a local tour guide. The tour seemed a bit rushed, allowing us only ten minutes at some very picturesque spots by the sea. The tour guide also didn't recommend any authentic food spots and instead recommended his friend who was mainly serving Western food which we did not want. Also the day trip was rather short as we had to depart at around 4.30pm, only truly allowing us 4 ish hours to enjoy. It would have been better to depart at around 7pm or 8pm perhaps. However, the communication with the company in regards to booking was great. They responded quickly and comprehensively, giving us all the information required to book. They were very trustworthy and reliable.
Response from the operator: Dear Tasnia, Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We strive to provide exceptional service to all of our customers, and we apologize that the last part of the tour didn’t quite match your expectations. I just would like to inform you that the tour is 10 to 12 hours tour as displayed online, we started the tour at 8.00am and we were back to Marrakech by 8.00pm. It would be impossible to depart from Essaouira back to Marrakech at 7 or 8pm because it will be a very late return to Marrakech by 11.00pm (3hrs drive each way as you know). For the local tour guides in Essaouira, we will definitely talk to them to provide a better service. Thanks a million! Kind regards, Moncef AB. Wow!! A Must Do Tour!!
What a great excursion from Marrakech! It was interesting to see how Argan oil is made and learning about the tree. Its roots that draw water from more than 30 metres underground. Known as the “Tree of Life” to the Berbers for the many health benefits it brings. it only grows in southwestern Morocco. Argan is perfectly adapted to the region's harsh environment, with the ability to survive extreme heat (over 50 °C), drought and poor soil. And then escaping the hecticness of Marrakech and enjoyed a day at beach in Essaouira. We had a wonderful beachside lunch at the Fanatic Restaurant. Freshest of fish - you pick which one you want from a tray or try the lobster! The town is so quaint. We wish we had stayed here for a few days. If I had the trip to plan all over again, I would definitely done this. The Medina is peaceful unlike Marrakech. You can stroll and shop without motorbikes buzzing through. The beach would have been so nice to enjoy. There are plenty of loungers and umbrellas to rent and enjoy the ocean breeze. Two of the things that made this trip so enjoyable was our wonderful driver, Abdellatif, who adjust schedules to accommodate us and was a super safe driver. And Youness, our tour guide in Essaouira. He is the best guide we’ve had in Morocco.
Response from the operator: Dear Michael, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us and the community. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your Essaouira experience with us! Thank you for choosing us! Kind regards, Moncef AB. Tour Coordinator Atlas Excursion +212 697 481 240 WhatsApp/Cell phone

VERY INTERESTING
Unique experience. The walls are spectacular and are in perfect condition. The port is a must-see although not suitable for all stomachs.

A Travel Agency that will never disappoint you really!!
Finally and after the terrible Covid-19 nightmare here we are back to Morocco, so this is our second time booking with Atlas Excursion after few years back and this is one of our best trips ever, we've been traveling for more than fifty years! Because we've slowed down a bit, we asked them at Atlas Excursion to take that into account in planning our itinerary. Corresponding with them was a pleasure and an education. It worked out perfectly for us; just the right balance between sight-seeing and resting in our beautiful hotels and Riads. We went to the Atlas Mountains, Agafay Desert, Rabat, Chefchouen, Fez, Meknes, Casablanca, Marrakech and Essaouira. There was just the right amount of time for each of these wonderful cities. Our driver, Mouaad, anticipated our every need, he was so friendly, always on time, he speaks numerous languages fluently and perfectly and he was very knowledgeable about Morocco’s history as well as all the local guides who took us around, treated us like a family so he became a personal friend over the entire tour. Our transportation vehicle was a luxurious Mercedes van, so comfortable, and when it comes to accommodations, restaurant suggestions, fascinating crafts, local sight-seeing guides all exceeded our expectations. It couldn't have been a better experience! This is a Travel agency where you can book with eyes closed, if you ask me. Thank you very much

Relaxing trip
It was really nice trip - the city is calm, relaxing, full of art and small cafes, looks like "European" city (escape from the noise of Marrakesh at least). We especially appreciated our drivers' Ahmed patience, friendliness and kindness. Highly recommended for those who are staying near by.
Response from the operator: We can’t thank you enough for your kind words, your review means a lot to us!! Your feedback helps us improve our service. Best regards, Moncef AB. Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Essaouira Tour : UNESCO Coastal Heritage & Seaport: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does Private Essaouira Tour : UNESCO Coastal Heritage & Seaport cost?
+
Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Essaouira Tour : UNESCO Coastal Heritage & Seaport take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is Private Essaouira Tour : UNESCO Coastal Heritage & Seaport worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Essaouira Tour : UNESCO Coastal Heritage & Seaport?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Essaouira Tour : UNESCO Coastal Heritage & Seaport suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Essaouira Tour : UNESCO Coastal Heritage & Seaport?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Essaouira Tour : UNESCO Coastal Heritage & Seaport start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
