    An amazing experience in Kusadasi

We are Brazilians and we visited Kusadasi in October 2024. We visited Mary's house, the archaeological complex of Ephesus (the visit to the augmented experience museum is a must) and the temple of Artemis. We also visited a beautiful Turkish sweets shop and an incredible carpet factory (in addition to having lunch included). We came to Kusadasi via a cruise, with the time from 08:00 to 16:00, and it was super on time. The private vehicle was air-conditioned and extremely comfortable. Our guide Filiz was extremely attentive, in addition to being a humorous and charismatic person, we loved her and intend to return to Turkey with more time and see other cities. We loved it!

Response from the operator: We sincerely appreciate your valuable feedback. We are delighted to hear that you had a wonderful experience during your journey with us. Your feedback acts as a driving force for us to continuously enhance our services and exceed your expectations. We eagerly look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

Filiz is an amazing Guide! We took a tour of Ephesus, Artemis temple, the house of the Virgin Mary, Turkish goodies shops, carpet shop and an amazing typical Turkish lunch ❤️ Speaks Spanish very well, performing the explanations of the places we visited, very well-humored, inquisitive and friendly! We will return to Turkey to make more tours in Kusadasi with her!

    A mixed bag

Ephesus is not to be missed! Niko was our guide and overall he did a great job and added some humor to the tour. He arrived promptly at the agreed time which was 7-730 am. Apparently the archeological areas do not open till 8:30am so he gave us options for an activity for that time. We chose pottery and enjoyed the location he took us to very much. My only complaint is that information was not communicated at the time of booking. We might have slept in. I am very much a planner and like to be very thorough. This being a private tour I was assured our time and stops were at my discretion. I asked for Ephesus, including the Terraces and Mary’s house. After leaving the pottery shop we went to Mary’s and ended in Ephesus. Niko said the Terraces were not part of the tour booked and we had very little time for them. This is why I gave the tour a 4 star instead of 5. At the time I just assumed it was my mistake in communication. After returning home I reviewed the tour description- which is full of conflicting information about tickets etc- and the emails I sent verifying what was to be expected and clearly I covered that I wanted the Terraces. I don’t blame Niko ( or Viator) but I am very disappointed with this tour company. I would recommend being very careful in the details and print your papers and emails for proof!

    Great first visit to Turkey!!!

I would highly recommend this tour because everything ran smoothly, we felt safe and learned some very interesting facts about Turkey. Our guide Omer was waiting for us exactly where we were told he would be and he met us with a warm, welcoming smile. He sat with us in the vehicle (clean, A/C, newer model) while the driver focused on taking us to all of the sites. Omer provided us with an abundance of historical and cultural information. In addition, he gladly answered all of our questions. Turkey was clean and beautiful! We even got to sit down and have a delicious traditional, family-style Turkish lunch at an outdoor venue. After lunch, we were shown how to extract silk thread and we got to see a woman working on a beautiful handmade rug. We were then shown some rugs in the hopes that we would purchase one, which made us a bit uncomfortable but once we made it clear that we were not there to buy a rug, we were escorted out of the room and it wasn't a problem. Omer took great care in making sure that we were hydrated and had opportunities to use the facilities when needed and he also got us back to our cruise ship in plenty of time before it departed.

Warm regards,

Private Ephesus Tour from Kusadasi Tailored for Cruisers: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Selçuk.

How much does Private Ephesus Tour from Kusadasi Tailored for Cruisers cost?

    +

Prices start at $53 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Selçuk usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Ephesus Tour from Kusadasi Tailored for Cruisers take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Selçuk is not rushed.

Is Private Ephesus Tour from Kusadasi Tailored for Cruisers worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Selçuk, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Ephesus Tour from Kusadasi Tailored for Cruisers?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Ephesus Tour from Kusadasi Tailored for Cruisers suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Ephesus Tour from Kusadasi Tailored for Cruisers?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Selçuk can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Selçuk and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Ephesus Tour from Kusadasi Tailored for Cruisers start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Selçuk within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Selçuk?

    +

On Outty we rank every Selçuk experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include PRIVATE EPHESUS TOUR FOR CRUISERS: On-time Return and Skip-Line, FOR CRUISERS: Skip The Lines PRIVATE EPHESUS TOUR &On Time Return, PRIVATE TOUR FOR CRUISERS: Mary's House (Meryemana) and Ephesus. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Selçuk?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Selçuk?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
