AN AMAZING SIGHT
Having visited bot Pompeii & Ephesus on our recent trip, we have to say that while they are BOTH amazing sights, IF you only have time for 1, this would be the one we enjoyed the most. The tour guides were both knowledgeable & professional

While both sites are truly amazing, it’s wonderful to know that you particularly enjoyed your time in Ephesus. We’re also glad to hear that our guides were able to provide you with the knowledge and professionalism that enhanced your experience. Amazing Site.
We enjoyed the tour of Ephesus and found the guide to be very knowledgeable. We would have liked to spent more time exploring but we were given a time to leave, so we could drive to a carpet maker and spend an hour trying to be sold on carpets and jewelry. Would have liked that hour in the site and not for a sales pitch.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback and for sharing your thoughts. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the tour of Ephesus and that the guide’s knowledge enhanced your experience. We understand your desire to have had more time at the site, and we sincerely regret that the visit to the carpet maker took away from that. While we aim to provide guests with a complete cultural experience, we understand that not everyone may wish to spend time at these additional stops. We will certainly take your feedback into account as we continue to refine our tours. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts, and we hope to welcome you on another tour in the future.

Fun and informative experience in Ephesus
First, our tour guide was great! He was very knowledgeable and very passionate about teaching others about the culture and history of Turkey and Ephesus. He was super friendly and answered all of our questions. If you are going to Turkey, you have to visit Ephesus…so beautiful and ancient. First we stopped at a Turkish pottery/ceramic shop which the owner was very hospitable offering us coffee, drinks, “whatever you would like.” I did get to spin the pottery wheel which was a blast. I did feel like visiting her was a tourist trap and felt expected to buy something but nevertheless the products were beautiful and it was an experience. Next, I was excited to see the temple of Artemis but it was a little underwhelming. Overall I would recommend this private tour as it is just the guide and your group and have his full attention. Also this is a great price for transportation to see and learn about Ancient Ephesus.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your thoughtful feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you had a great experience with your tour guide, who was passionate and knowledgeable about the culture and history of Turkey and Ephesus. It’s always wonderful to hear when our guides are able to engage and answer all of your questions. We also appreciate your comments regarding the pottery visit. While we strive to offer a genuine cultural experience, we understand that these stops might not be for everyone. It’s great to hear that you had fun with the pottery wheel, though! Regarding the Temple of Artemis, we understand that some sites may not meet expectations, especially when compared to other world-famous wonders, but we appreciate your feedback and will continue to ensure the best possible experiences. Thank you for recommending the private tour, and we hope to have the chance to welcome you again on another adventure in the future.

Private Ephesus & Temple of Artemis Tour + Optional Fine Dining: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kusadasi.
How much does Private Ephesus & Temple of Artemis Tour + Optional Fine Dining cost?
+
Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kusadasi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Ephesus & Temple of Artemis Tour + Optional Fine Dining take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kusadasi is not rushed.
Is Private Ephesus & Temple of Artemis Tour + Optional Fine Dining worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kusadasi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Ephesus & Temple of Artemis Tour + Optional Fine Dining?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Ephesus & Temple of Artemis Tour + Optional Fine Dining suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Ephesus & Temple of Artemis Tour + Optional Fine Dining?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kusadasi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kusadasi and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Ephesus & Temple of Artemis Tour + Optional Fine Dining start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kusadasi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kusadasi?
+
On Outty we rank every Kusadasi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include FOR CRUISERS: Ephesus & Virgin Mary Tour with ENTRY TICKET+LUNCH, Ephesus Temple of Artemis and House of Mary Private Half Day Tour, Ephesus and Temple of Artemis Private Tour from Kusadasi Port. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kusadasi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kusadasi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
