    Warn family oriented

What an incredible experience! We had such a wonderful time on this boat tour with our family. The crew was friendly, professional, and made the trip even more enjoyable. We were treated to beautiful views of the Gulf Coast, watched dolphins 🐬 swimming right alongside us, and ended the evening with a spectacular sunset. Everything was absolutely stunning. We can’t wait to come back and do it again with family and friends. A big thank you to the crew for making us feel safe, comfortable, and welcome throughout the entire trip! 👍👍

Response from the operator: Thank you for spending part of your Southwest Florida vacation with us! It was a pleasure having your family aboard for a Cape Coral boat tour and sharing a day on the water together. There’s just something special about seeing dolphins up close in their natural habitat and then wrapping up the day with one of our famous Florida sunsets. We’re so glad you felt comfortable, welcomed, and well cared for throughout the experience. Creating those kinds of memories is exactly why we love what we do. Thank you again for the kind words and for choosing Coastal Friends Boat Tours. Whether you’re looking for a private dolphin tour near Sanibel Island, a family-friendly boat tour, or simply one of the most memorable things to do in Southwest Florida, we’re honored that you trusted us with part of your vacation. Not enough words in the English language to sum up the brilliance!

Where to start? I reached out to Aldo and Damaris a couple of months before our trip to Florida, to enquire about a special boat trip, to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday in style. I knew as soon as we started chatting by email that we had found our people! We agreed on a flexible itinerary, that could tweak on the day depending on what we fancied- but we all agreed that our top priorities were seeing dolphins in their natural environment, and a trip to an unspoiled , quiet Floridian beach (we don’t do crowds!) On the day, the moment we met Aldo and Damaris and saw their beautiful boat, we knew this was going to be special. They are the most warm, welcoming and kind people. We were immediately at ease and felt so safe with Captain Aldo’s exquisite knowledge. His sense of humour was pretty epic too 😂 Within 45 mins of our sail, we were accompanied by the most incredible pod of dolphins who danced and played alongside the boat for quite some time! It was incredible! We enjoyed a truly stunning, peaceful spot for the beach stop and again Aldo and Damaris had thought of everything for our comfort- beach set up, floats, snorkels, cold drinks and some pretty delicious pink fizz too! 🍾🩷 After a stop for some Key Lime pie (recommended) it was back onto the water where Aldo gave both of our teens the opportunity to drive the boat! His guidance and teaching was just outstanding and they were both truly thrilled! Damaris provided beautiful snacks for us, before we stopped for an incredible jump in the sea, ahead of sunset. The music was brilliant and even included our wedding song, by chance! All you need is love, by The Beatles. It could not have been more perfect. That was until we sailed back in and were joined again by a huge pod of dolphins! 😍 Truly, incredible that they came to bid us farewell. What Aldo and Damaris do is truly special. We honestly feel like we have made true friends, and no boat trip will ever compare. We cannot wait to spend time with our new coastal friends on our next trip to Florida. We enjoyed hearing about their lives, their family and equally they enjoyed hearing about ours! Thankyou to both of you- until next time 🐬🩵🧡🐬 Kate, Andrew, Zack and Ella

Response from the operator: Kate, thank you SO much for this heart-felt review! You had me smiling from the first sentence and laughing by the time I got to "we had found our people." 😂 What can I say? You guys made it easy. Some guests come aboard as customers and leave as friends. You four somehow managed to skip the customer part altogether. Thank you for letting us be part of such a special vacation. We loved every minute of our day with you guys. The dolphins certainly did their part, but what Damaris and I will remember most is the conversation, the laughter, and getting to know your family. And for the record, I still think Zack and Ella did a pretty impressive job at the helm! We're so glad Southwest Florida delivered the quiet beach, dolphin encounters, and sunset you were hoping for. Sharing experiences like this is exactly why we love offering private boat tours and dolphin watching adventures around Cape Coral, Sanibel Island, and the surrounding waters. Next time you're back in Southwest Florida, we'll pick up right where we left off. Your Coastal Friends, Damaris and Aldo

    Amazing!

Aldo and Damaris gave us such a beautiful day! They personalized our trip so nicely! They are so knowledgeable of the area and even the creatures we see! I would recommend them 1000%! Coastal Friends is an awesome experience!

Response from the operator: Liz, thank you so much for this! We really loved having you guys out with us for your Private Dolphin Watching Beach Day Getaway. Days like that are exactly why we started Coastal Friends. Relaxed time on the water, great conversation, beautiful Southwest Florida scenery, and getting to share those dolphin encounters together. We’re so glad you enjoyed all the little personalized touches throughout the day. We always want the experience to feel less like a “tour” and more like spending the day on the boat with friends. And thank you for the incredibly kind words about our knowledge of the area and marine life. We genuinely love sharing this part of Fort Myers, Sanibel Island, and the surrounding waters with nice people like you guys! :) Hope we get to have you guys back out with us again next time you're down in SW Florida! They know all the best spots! Relaxed atmosphere. Lots of marine life to see.

Response from the operator: Brandon, thanks for this… really glad you enjoyed your day out with us. That’s exactly the kind of experience we hope for every time out… just a relaxed day on the water, exploring some of our favorite spots around Sanibel Island and North Captiva Island, with plenty of marine life along the way. We had a great time with you guys and would love to have you back out for another private boat tour in Cape Coral sometime soon! Your Coastal Friends, Damaris and Aldo Milanes

Private boating day with wildlife viewing and beach time

Finding a boat tour that keeps both parents and kids happy is a gamble, but this private beach trip was a total win. Usually, these things can feel a bit "touristy" or rushed, but having a private boat meant we could actually set the pace. The real highlight was our host. They were incredibly personable and were able to keep the kids engaged without being over-the-top. Instead of just pointing at landmarks, they were pointing out sea life, telling stories, and making the kids feel like they were part of the crew. We spent the afternoon hopping between quiet, secluded beaches that we never would have found on our own. Having a home base on the sand where the kids could run wild while we actually relaxed for a second was exactly what we needed. If you’re looking for a day on the water that’s low-stress and high-fun this is it.

Response from the operator: Kim, thank you so much for this… we really appreciate you taking the time. Damaris and I had such a great time with you guys! It’s always special when a day comes together like that… relaxed, unhurried, and just letting things unfold naturally. We loved how the kids jumped right in and got comfortable on the boat. Seeing them get curious about the wildlife and become part of the crew is always a highlight for us. And honestly, watching you guys be able to slow down while the kids were off snorkeling, shelling, and exploring those quiet beaches… that’s when you know it’s the kind of day everyone’s actually enjoying. That’s exactly the experience we hope to create out here in Southwest Florida. We’d love to have you guys back out with us anytime. Your Coastal Friends, Damaris and Aldo Milanes

Private Dolphin Watching Beach Day Getaway: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fort Myers.

How much does Private Dolphin Watching Beach Day Getaway cost?

    +

Prices start at $689 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fort Myers usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Dolphin Watching Beach Day Getaway take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fort Myers is not rushed.

Is Private Dolphin Watching Beach Day Getaway worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 30 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Fort Myers, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Dolphin Watching Beach Day Getaway?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Dolphin Watching Beach Day Getaway suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Dolphin Watching Beach Day Getaway?

    +

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fort Myers can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fort Myers and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Dolphin Watching Beach Day Getaway start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fort Myers within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Fort Myers?

    +

Fort Myers is the jumping-off point for Sanibel, Captiva and Cayo Costa: shelling cruises, dolphin watches, Everglades airboats to the east and sunset sails from the beach pier. On Outty we rank every Fort Myers experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guided Hobie Kayak EcoTour: Premium Eco Experience Bonita Springs, 2.5-Hour Guided Group Kayak Tour on Big Hickory Pass, Southwest Florida Sunset Sail. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Fort Myers?

    +

December to April for dry, calm Gulf days. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Fort Myers?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
