Horrible experience
SO disappointed and frustrated with this experience and to give you some context I have booked with this company in numerous countries for over 20 + years and not EVER had a disappointment. I was extra careful to book in advance and checked and double checked the pick up time and even explained that I would be on crutches. The driver never showed up - after 10 minutes I called the number listed to call if you haven’t seen the driver and the male who answered just kept saying “ like I said ma’am we have you listed for a 715 am pickup. Only I have several emails confirming a 515 am pickup cuz my flight left at715 am. No apologies, no attempts at resolution just kept repeating the same thing…. I told him I had a plane to catch so I would resolve this later and drove myself to the airport with a broken ankle in a snowstorm. Not happy AND since I’d waited for the pickup I ended up missing my flight and had to get rebooked for a later flight. Very stressful experience and I’d even prepaid my trip so double insult.

Far right wing drivers, not for average Americans
Worst tranfer in my life. Scary oblivious far right nut job driver. Educated me on how Angela Merkle is Hitler’s daughter. This entire company should not be on viator. Terrifying experience. Forced coherced into tipping. Should not be listed. Fear for your life with these drivers, delusional people.

At least we got to the airport on time
The ride did not go as planned. I got a call from the ride company the night before the departure and was told that viator have me an incorrect price and that the ride was actually $168 instead of the original $76! For a 30 minute ride! I had to accept it because it was such short notice and I didn’t have other options. Also our driver was way too talkative about his political beliefs. Not something I want to talk about first thing in the morning. Also, the first thing he mentioned to us was that the airport toll and tip was not included in the price. The car was comfortable and clean. We got to the airport just fine.
Response from the operator: Dear Customer, We appreciate your review, as well as the fact that you took your time to write these comments. We hope that you will continue to use our services in the future. Sincerely, Carmel Team

Super car service!
Both MJ and Leslie were perfect. They were prompt, friendly, and got us where we needed to go with no issues. We would definitely choose this service again!

Why this scores 38
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Departure Transfer to Salt Lake City Airport SLC: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Salt Lake City.
How much does Private Departure Transfer to Salt Lake City Airport SLC cost?
+
Prices start at $36 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Salt Lake City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Departure Transfer to Salt Lake City Airport SLC take?
+
Plan for about 0.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Salt Lake City is not rushed.
Is Private Departure Transfer to Salt Lake City Airport SLC worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 38 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Salt Lake City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Departure Transfer to Salt Lake City Airport SLC?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Departure Transfer to Salt Lake City Airport SLC suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Departure Transfer to Salt Lake City Airport SLC?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Salt Lake City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Salt Lake City and add a light layer if any part of the 0.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Departure Transfer to Salt Lake City Airport SLC start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Salt Lake City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Salt Lake City?
+
Salt Lake City is a basecamp: Big and Little Cottonwood canyon hikes and ski shuttles, Antelope Island and Great Salt Lake trips, Park City transfers and Temple Square walking tours. Winter transfer reliability is the single biggest quality signal here. On Outty we rank every Salt Lake City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Salt Lake City Guided Bus Tour, Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square & Salt Lake City Bus Tour, Great Salt Lake Safari - Discover Antelope Island. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Salt Lake City?
+
December to March for skiing, June to September for canyon hiking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Salt Lake City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
