    Poor communication skills

Initially there was no communication as to what time we were going to be picked up. I had to reach out to them the day before and when I did I realized that it was going to be later than we wanted. After trying to change it, the operator was terse and rude. We decided to just use Uber. I would not recommend this service. Also when we were picked up by this service, they were 45 minutes late.

Response from the operator: Aloha Cynthia, Thank you for your business and for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your experience. We are sorry to hear that your communication experience did not meet expectations. Reliable communication and timely service are extremely important to us, and we would like the opportunity to review the circumstances surrounding your reservation, including the pickup timing and interaction with our team. Please provide your reservation number so our management team may investigate the matter and follow up promptly.

    SpeediShuttle Problems

For starters, they could keep better records of the bookings made, they should not cancel at the last minute and their personnel could stop being rude. They had our pick up information wrong in Honolulu and were unpleasant about it. In Kona, they twice cancelled bookings shortly before the scheduled times for airport pickup saying they didn't have drivers/equipment. They don't answer their phone promptly--waits of more than 30 minutes before being able to talk to anyone. Hotel personnel and other drivers told us this firm has a very bad reputation for reliability.

Response from the operator: Sorry to hear about your experience. We have been in business for over 20 years and have a wonderful reputation. Please provide your reservation number and name so we can investigate.

    Excellent !!

Mahalo Speedi Shuttle for the great service!! You came thru for me again!!! With my tight schedule transporting my 3 cats back to Fort Collins, CO, I was highly dependent on Speedi Shuttle getting’s us to the airport without any glitches. The day before the pick-up, you called to advise you were short staffed. BUT, you had a plan to ensure we got to the airport, as scheduled. You coordination with your partner ensured everything went as planned. Mahalo nui loa!!!

On Outty we rank every Big Island of Hawaii experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include KONA Manta Ray Night Snorkel - FREE re-ride if no Sightings, Big Island in a Day: Volcanoes Waterfalls Sightseeing and History, Big Island: Captain Cook Snorkel On A Power Catamaran With Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Big Island of Hawaii?

How many days do you need in Big Island of Hawaii?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
