Beautiful waterfall and delicious coffee. This tour was my best experience in Moshi
I had an amazing trip! The waterfall is just breathtaking and the coffee tour was a lot of fun too. The rain made the experience even more adventurous and a hot coffee at the fire after the hike was one of my favourite parts of the trip. Everything was well organized, I felt safe and I am super happy that I have chosen to do that tour with Msafiri 😊
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review :-) We are happy that you enjoyed your trip despite the rain!

Great cold waterfall pool swimming and homemade warm coffee
We had an excellent daytrip to the waterfall and the coffee experience. We all ended up taking a swim in the very cold pool by the waterfall. It was in fact very refreshing after the hike. Nico was a great guide calm and friendly and even more knowledgeable about the culture and plants than other guides we have been on tour with. The Maturani people in the village gave a great insight in the process from bean to coffee. Normally I only drink coffee with milk but the coffee we had in the village was smooth even without milk. Maybe the whole experience and motivating songs also helped :-) Finally, it should be mentioned than planning the tour was really easy since Danish Emma from Msafiri handled it all professionally and fast. We communicated on WhatsApp. If we had more days we would book more tours with Msafiri!!!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review! We are so happy that you enjoyed the waterfall and coffee experience, and that everything went smoothly :-)

Most beautiful Waterfall & best decision for sure!
The best decision we could have made! We been in contact with Emma for a while and she always send us a lot of recommendations and ideas what to do or where to enjoy around Arusha and Moshi. Once we arrived in Moshi we went with Msafiri to ther Materuni Waterfalls. We really enjoyed the little hike to the Waterfalls, especially the green lush area of Materuni is amazing. We saw also chameleons, which made us even more happy. The Coffeetour been really interesting, we learned about the harvesting and process to make a cup of coffee. With Msafiri you will have for sure an extraordinary experience, well organized and absolutely worth it! We can highly recommend to book your trip with them! Thank you so much!!!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your amazing review :-) We are so happy that you enjoyed the waterfall, hike, chameleon sighting and coffee tour! We hope to see you around again!

Private Day Trip to Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Moshi.
How much does Private Day Trip to Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moshi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Day Trip to Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Tour take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Moshi is not rushed.
Is Private Day Trip to Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Moshi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Day Trip to Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Day Trip to Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Day Trip to Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moshi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moshi and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Day Trip to Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Moshi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Moshi?
+
On Outty we rank every Moshi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour and Picnic Hot Lunch, Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Plantation Half Day Tour, Kilimanjaro climb, Machame Route (7-day). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Moshi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Moshi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Private Day Trip to Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Tour?
+
Included: Private transportation; Other; Bottled water; Entrance to Materuni Waterfall; and Lunch. Not included: Tip. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Does Private Day Trip to Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Tour include hotel pickup?

+
