This flexible one day tour starts with a short trip just one hour outside of Shanghai to the serene charm of Zhujiajiao ancient water town. On this 9 hours tour you'll explore ancient bridges like Fangsheng Bridge and stroll Qing dynasty streets and enjoy Ming and Qing dynasty architecture while diving into local shops, the unique Qing Dynasty Post Office, rural authentic Yuanjin Buddhist Temple and you'll sample local snacks such as sticky rice dumplings (zong zi) and steamed pork wrapped in bamboo leaves (zha rou) as well as traditional Chinese candies. Zhujiajiao Ancient Town
Zhujiajiao is a water town just an hour outside of Shanghai. It was established about 1,700 years ago. It features 36 stone bridges and numerous rivers line Zhujiajiao, and many ancient buildings still line the riverbanks today. The many shops nestled into the historic buildings and stone streets lined are bustling with with food vendors. Gondola rides along the canals are popular activities are included. Qing Dynasty Post Office, Yuanjin Buddhist Temple visit will make your water town tour complete.

Jade Buddha Temple
The Jade Buddha Temple was founded in 1882 with two jade Buddha statues imported to Shanghai from Burma by sea. These were a sitting Buddha (1.95 meters tall, 3 tons), and a smaller reclining Buddha representing the Buddha's death. The temple now also contains a much larger reclining Buddha made of marble, donated from Singapore.

Fuxing Park
Fuxing Park is located in the former French Concession. It was once the largest park in Shanghai and laid out by the French in 1909. About 10 hectare in size it features a lake, fountains, covered pavilions, and flowerbeds. Early morning, the park fills with dancers, card players, mahjong enthusiasts, tai chi and artists.

Amazing Tour
Peggy was absolutely amazing! She has been the best tour guide that I had the pleasure of touring with in Shanghai. Everything was on time and she was extremely attentive to my every need. There was not a single moment that we felt awkward or nervous, as it seemed like she was a life-long friend that we were just catching up with. Peggy not only had an amazing personality, but she was very knowledgeable as well, from foods to architecture she could tell you anything and everything. I would highly recommend her to anyone that was looking to get a very descriptive and informative insight on Shanghai and its history, as well as the culture that surrounds it!

8 day tour
We booked an 8 day tour with Jenny, Beijing(3nights), Xi’an(2nights) and Shanghai(3nights). Our guides, Linda, Sasha and Grace were amazing, fluent in English. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. Drivers were great. Jenny, arranged internal flights and rail travel tickets for us. Nothing is too much bother for Jenny and her team. Troy was a wonderful tour guide will book again
Troy was our tour guide for two days for Hangzhou and Zhujiajiao. He was highly knowledgeable, respectful, and calm. All of our tour guides were great but what made Troy stand out was he gave us some breathing room and did not overwhelm us with ongoing chatter. He also showed concern regarding how our trip was planned and resolving discrepancies between what our central Tour agency told us and what his company ( local contractor Jenny travel) was told. In the future we will just book directly with Jenny travel to avoid communicating through a third party. Thank you Troy for ensuring our visit was memorable!

We had a great day...
We had a great day starting at the Water City. We went on a gondola and saw the area from the water. Then we went to many of the shops and had a very good lunch over looking the water. The day was full of information and we saw new sights along the way. The transportation was clean and comfortable. Our guide Grace was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a very good day and experience.

Super Tour in Shanghai and Zhujiajiao
All has been planned very professionally. Our Guide Troy was excellent, very flexible and he is really prepared, transferring a lot of information about the history and culture of China and Chinese people. The car and the driver were really nice too. We really suggest this agency and this guide. The watercity Zhujiajiao it is interesting and charming and create a good contrast with what you can see in Shanghai. We were able to learn a lot from this tour, and they way it has been organize was just perfect. Thanks again
