Outstanding day trip with Setanta Chauffeur Tours — Paul was amazing
We had a wonderful day trip with Setanta Chauffeur Tours, and our driver Paul truly elevated the entire experience. From start to finish, he was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about Ireland and the places we visited. We spent the day exploring the Rock of Cashel and Blarney Castle, and Paul shared fascinating history and insights along the way, which made the drive from Dublin just as enjoyable as the stops themselves. What stood out most was the extra care Paul took with my mum. He was thoughtful and attentive, helping her in and out of the tour van, making sure she was comfortable at all times, and checking in regularly. He also ensured we always had water and coffee, which was very much appreciated. Paul planned our routes beautifully so the day felt relaxed and seamless, never rushed. He made excellent suggestions for lunch and shopping, and every recommendation was spot-on. Thanks to his thoughtful planning, we were able to truly enjoy each stop and take everything in at our own pace. We had the best time and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommend Setanta Chauffeur Tours — and especially Paul — to anyone looking for a personalized, stress-free, and memorable day trip.

We had such a lovely day
We had a great time on our day trip to the Rock of Cashel and Blarney Castle. Paul was fabulous. He responded to my inquiry about a possible tour very quickly and all the communication from him was timely and helpful. He picked me, my husband and our two college kids up at our hotel in Dublin and we made our way to Blarney. Along the way, we asked Paul questions and he was so knowledgeable about everything. We all enjoyed all the tidbits of information he shared and we asked a lot of questions and he could answer all of them. We stopped at Rock of Cashel and walked around which was neat and moved on to Blarney. The castle was great, the gardens were beautiful and the restaurant there was delicious. Also, there is nice store where we got sweaters and souvenirs. We loved leaving Dublin for a day and seeing the beautiful countryside. Paul really made it a lovely day for all of us. The timing of the day trip was perfect. I would really recommend Paul for day trips or multi day trips. He is very accommodating to what you would like to do and had great suggestions. I really recommend using Setanta for your next tour.

How far in advance should I book Private day tour to Blarney Castle & The Rock of Cashel /Dublin?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. What are the best things to do in Dublin?
+
On Outty we rank every Dublin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dublin to Cliffs of Moher, including Wild Atlantic Way and Galway, Dublin Highlights and Hidden Gems Guided Walking Tour, The Little Museum of Dublin Famous Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Dublin?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Dublin?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
