just to give you an idea i'll list you some details of one type of tour. I do usually suggest to my clients to start the tour quite early. . . by 8am, it'll be the best way to avoid the rush hours traffic in Naples. In approx. 1 hour  we'll reach Sorrento, where obviously you'll have the chance of visiting the ancient centre town. After Sorrento, we'll time to go finally along the breathtaking Amalfi coast. . . several stops on the way , if you desire, for taking amazing pictures and even there time to visit the centre town (where big buses will not be allowed to go to) and time for lunch too, of course. After the visit of the coast will be then time to reach the Ancient Pompei, since the archeological area is massive i'd suggest to stop for approx. 2 hours. . . overthere, if you desire I could arrange avery good professional local tour guide for a Private Tour into the ruins, otherwise you could explore by yourself too. After Pompei you'll be driven to the Cruise

    Great Tour by Italy Driver

This was absolutely amazing. Our driver was Manuel and he met us at port and we drove to Positano and Sorrento. We were able to tailor our day with him giving us the best recommendations. Five Stars all the way.

    A Splendid Day of Sightseeing

A great way to see some of the most popular sights of the southern coast. With extremely narrow roads and scooters squeezing a third lane out of the middle, Italy is a nerve-wracking place to drive. And we had our fill of big, cattle-herding tour buses earlier in the trip. So we greatly enjoyed having a private chauffeur and comfortable sedan (with a moon roof!) for this tour. The driver also set us up with an excellent private guide for the visit to Pompeii. Paola, our guide, was knowledgeable not only about the history of the site but also the best way to navigate it to see the highlights while avoiding crowds. Positano was absolutely beautiful but bustling with tourists. So we skipped some of the shopping in favor of an outstanding lunch at a shaded, outdoor cafe gently cooled by a misting system. I am still dreaming of the gorgeous lava stone table we admired in one of the shops along the way, but couldn’t quite justify the purchase price. Maybe next time!

    Highly recommend this group

This was great from the very start! Umberto and Manu truly care about their customers. Umberto personally called to confirm the pick up location from the very moment that we booked this tour. at the last minute we even decided to book a guided tour of Pompeii which Umberto made all of the arrangements for us. Manu has a wonderful sense of humor, is very accommodating, he puts 110% in how he treats each one. There were six of us and we all felt the same way. If you are looking for a tour guide this is the right one! Grazie Mille Umberto and Manu - we are so grateful for you!

Private day tour: Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano.: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.

How much does Private day tour: Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano. cost?

    +

Prices start at $140 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private day tour: Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano. take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.

Is Private day tour: Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano. worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private day tour: Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano.?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private day tour: Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano. suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private day tour: Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano.?

    +

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private day tour: Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano. start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Naples?

    +

On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Naples?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Naples?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
