    No regrets

A visit to see the Terracotta warriors is a must in Xi’An and made even better with a private tour. Our Guide Wendy was the friendly, knowledgeable and really helpful. My parents and I truly enjoyed ourselves and we would recommend anyone coming to Xi’An to book a tour with Wendy. As we ended our trip slightly earlier, Wendy recommended the Tuo Ling Legend show (which is a 360 degree stage production) and helped us booked the tickets. The show was not on our itinerary and we were glad we went. During the trip, she got to know our next day plans to Huashan and suggested that we pick up our train tickets that day since it was the first train of the day and the station was expected to be packed in the morning. We decided to follow her suggestion and we are thankful to her and the driver for arranging and going out of their way to fetch us to the train station and waiting for us to be done before sending us back to the city. Thank you Wendy, for making our trip so enjoyable.

Thank you Wang for a great day

We travelled with our daughter and son-in-law on this interesting tour. Wang and our driver catered to all our requests - a late start, allowing us to tailor each element to suit our interests and helping with ordering a very nice lunch. We were never rushed. Wang gave us so much information on the sites we visited ( which were amazing) as well as about Chinese history and culture - his English was wonderful. He was always happy to take photographs of us all and tried to find the best places while walking through the exhibits. He also gave us advice on our trip the following day. A big thank you also to our friendly, safe and helpful driver. Would highly recommend this tour.

    Memorable visit

We had a really great day with Wendy, at the mausoleum, cave house and the terracotta warriors. The contrast between the different attendant tombs from different periods was fascinating - making a day well spent. Wendy has great knowledge about all historical facts and the locality of Xian, She was very very accommodating to our wishes, especially the excellent local lunch and providing us with suggestions on what else to visit in our own time. She made our day and the whole trip to Xian memorable. Thanks again for that!

    +

Prices start at $27 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Xian usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Xian, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Xian can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Xian and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

    +

What are the best things to do in Xian?

    +

On Outty we rank every Xian experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Xi'an Day Tour: Terracotta Army&Optional City Attractions, All-Inclusive Terracotta Army Tour with Premium Buffet Lunch, 2-Day Customized Warriors Tours & Xian Top Attractions. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Xian?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Xian?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
