Strongly recommended!!
Really wonderful day in Sintra with Tours Bernardo! Very nice walk from the bottom to the top of the castle, while enjoying some the best local spots (that I could never find by myself!). Bernardo was by far the best guide I had there: easy going and fun, very knowledgeable about Sintra, Portuguese history and traditions, he speaks perfect English. I definitely recommend him for visiting Sintra and Lisbon!!

"Three Amazing Days with Tour Guide Bernardo!"
As a solo traveler, a friend recommended that I look for Bernardo for my visit to Lisbon. I am so glad I did! I absolutely recommend Bernardo to anyone visiting Lisbon. I spent three days with him, including a walking tour and two full days exploring the city and surrounding areas, and he went above and beyond to make my trip unforgettable. Bernardo knows Lisbon and its historic sites inside and out. He took me to some amazing places that I would never have found on my own. But his knowledge doesn’t stop at the landmarks. He also has great recommendations for food and local pastries, which added a delicious twist to my trip. Bernardo is very professional, respectful, knowledgeable, and always punctual. He made me feel comfortable and welcomed throughout the tour. Whether you're interested in history, culture, or just want to explore the best spots, Bernardo is the perfect guide.

Bernardo’s tour of Sintra rocks!
The tour of Sintra and surrounding areas was fantastic and Bernardo was a wonderful guide. He is knowledgeable in the history of the area and provided a real local’s view to all the sites. Although our day was very rainy Bernardo made the tour fun and interesting. We spent an eight hour day with Bernardo and the entire time it felt like we were with a real friend. Great guide and great day outside of Lisbon. I would absolutely recommend Bernardo and would tour with him again. This was a private tour with my husband and me.

How far in advance should I book Private Day Tour from the Centre to the Highest Point in Sintra.?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. +
On Outty we rank every Sintra experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Tour Sintra from Lisbon Palaces of Pena and Regaleira, Private Sintra Tour Palaces and Coast by Vintage Car or Jeep, Sintra Historical Jeep Adventure - Palaces & Secret Routes. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sintra?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sintra?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
