Great Tour!
We had a lovely time on a private tour with Andy. We were traveling with 3 generations, which included a toddler and elderly grandparents and the tour operator was able to coordinate a van so we wouldn't have to transfer for the Lake Moraine portion, which was super helpful as we had a car seat. Andy was kind and knowledgable & we had a great time exploring one of the most beautiful places on earth!
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing such a lovely review. It was a pleasure to help make your family’s visit to the Rockies comfortable and memorable for everyone, from the youngest traveller to the grandparents. We understand how much the little details matter when travelling across generations, and we’re so glad the van arrangements helped make your day easier and allowed you to focus on enjoying your time together. Andy will be grateful for your kind words. There is something truly special about seeing families experience the beauty of these mountains together, creating memories that each generation can carry home. Thank you for trusting Wild Northern Journey with such a meaningful family outing. We hope the photographs and memories from your day bring smiles to your family for years to come.

Friendly, knowledgeable, and convenient tour of Banff area.
Andy did a great job. Right from the start he clarified what we were hoping to get from our tour- just seeing the sites or getting out for short hikes. He was able to describe the available hikes including difficulty and duration with great accuracy and during the ride and hikes he was able to supply lots of info about the geology and history of the areas, as well as vital info about available services and where the cleanest bathrooms were. He did a great job of keeping our group of 8 moving so we could see all the areas we wanted, which at times was probably like herding cats. He also volunteered to take our group photos at sites, allowing all of us to be in the shots(some of the best pictures we've had together!) He supplied many recommendations for additional sites and restaurants to visit on our remaining days in this area and by group consensus, he was correct on each one. I have no hesitancy recommending both Wild Northern Journeys and Andy in particular.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We’re especially glad Andy took the time at the beginning to understand what your group wanted from the day and then helped balance sightseeing with short hikes that suited everyone. It’s great to hear that his knowledge of the geology and history added depth to the journey, and we had to smile at the “herding cats” comment. Keeping a group of eight moving while still giving everyone time to enjoy the stops is no small task. We’re also happy Andy could help capture some great group photos and share recommendations for the rest of your stay. Knowing those suggestions worked out well is a wonderful compliment. Thank you for recommending Wild Northern Journey and Andy. We truly appreciate you spending the day with us.

Great private tour
Andy was a wonderful tour guide who gave us lot of great historical and nature facts. He took us to so many beautiful stops and guided us to less crowded places to take pictures. Highly recommend! Admission fee to the parks was included in the trip. About 11 hours long. Best for people who want to tour at their own pace.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad Andy added so much to the day with his knowledge of the area, from the history to the natural surroundings. It’s great to hear you enjoyed the beautiful stops and the quieter places he found for photos. We also appreciate you mentioning the included park admission and the relaxed pace of the tour, as those details can be helpful for future guests. Thank you for recommending Wild Northern Journey. We’re happy you enjoyed your day in the Rockies.

Amazing Private Banff Tour
My wife and I were travelling with our 4 month old son, and we booked this private Banff tour. Andy was our host and guide, and he was an amazing man. He gave us great knowledge about the area. We saw bighorn sheep for the first time, and all the places in Banff National Park were magical. Book with them, no regrets.

Private Custom Banff Tour Moraine Lake Louise Icefild pkwy–10Spot: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Banff.
How much does Private Custom Banff Tour Moraine Lake Louise Icefild pkwy–10Spot cost?
+
Prices start at $803 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Banff usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Custom Banff Tour Moraine Lake Louise Icefild pkwy–10Spot take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Banff is not rushed.
Is Private Custom Banff Tour Moraine Lake Louise Icefild pkwy–10Spot worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Banff, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Custom Banff Tour Moraine Lake Louise Icefild pkwy–10Spot?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Custom Banff Tour Moraine Lake Louise Icefild pkwy–10Spot suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Custom Banff Tour Moraine Lake Louise Icefild pkwy–10Spot?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Banff can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Banff and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Custom Banff Tour Moraine Lake Louise Icefild pkwy–10Spot start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Banff within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Banff?
+
On Outty we rank every Banff experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Explore Banff, Moraine Lake, Louise, Johnston Canyon & Bow Falls, 8 Iconic Stops. 12 Comfy Seats. See Banff's Best in First Class., Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Banff Tour from Calgary/Canmore/Banff. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Banff?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Banff?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
