Tour guide ruined it for us
Food tastings were small but good. I didn’t have anything I thought was fantastic though. The negative part of the tour was the guide. She rambled on and was very repetitive. I have done the Nolita tour with this same company in the past and loved all the historical information. I was expecting a similar experience but left disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this tour.
Response from the operator: We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and are disappointed that we did not meet your expectations. We value your feedback and will work to ensure this doesn't happen again.

Life and times in Greenwich Village
This was a great, yummy tour. Rene took us to all the best, hidden spots in the village. Best part of the tour was probably Rene’s personal accounts of her time in the area which made the tour more relatable and engaging. It really was a great balance between food, history and architecture, hot spots for future reference, and what life is like in The Village. Definitely recommend and will do again.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and found it both delicious and engaging. It's great to know that Rene's personal accounts and local knowledge added a special touch to your experience. We appreciate your recommendation and look forward to seeing you on another tour in the future!

A Tour to Remember!
We have been visiting Greenwich Village for 50 years and wanted something different. Emily, our tour guide, gave us more than we had expected. She was well versed in NYC Greenwich Village and gave us more insight than ever imagined. Her fun and energetic personality made us want more information every time we turned a corner. She offered insight on each establishment we sampled food. Emily also shared little secrets about so many buildings and streets in the village which we never knew. Highly recommend this tour for anyone. Annie and Charlie Norris

Canel your dinner plans and take this tour!
We booked a last minute Secret Food Tour of Greenwich Village and were lucky enough to have David as our guide. Each stop was more delicious than the last and provided a completely different perspective to an area I've been to many times. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting NYC for the first time, or even a local who wants to get to the history of the area. Such a great combination of food and fact! David clearly has a passion for the restaurant industry, as well as NYC, and was the best Secret Food Tour guide we've had to date (we've been on a dozen or so). Can't recommend this tour enough! Well done, David, and thank you for a great day - Chris & Corina
Response from the operator: Hi Chris and Corina, we're thrilled you enjoyed your tour and appreciate you sharing your experience!

Me and my wife did this tour, it was very interesting, the food was ver tasty and Grace was a great guide. The meeting place was easy to find, we have been coming to nyc for a number of years but we had never been to the west village, this tour has made us wanting to come back and explore it in more detail

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Cultural Food Walking Tour in New York: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New York.
How much does Private Cultural Food Walking Tour in New York cost?
+
Prices start at $69 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New York usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Cultural Food Walking Tour in New York take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New York is not rushed.
Is Private Cultural Food Walking Tour in New York worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in New York, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Cultural Food Walking Tour in New York?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Private Cultural Food Walking Tour in New York suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Cultural Food Walking Tour in New York?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New York can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New York and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Cultural Food Walking Tour in New York start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New York within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in New York?
+
New York has more bookable experiences than any other city on Outty, and the quality spread is brutal. Observation decks are commoditised, so we score them on timed-entry reliability and sunset slots. Food tours and borough walks are where the ranking really separates operators, and the top scores in the city all come from small-group guides. On Outty we rank every New York experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Grand Canyon VIP Helicopter Tour, Half-Day Bus Tour of NYC Top Highlights, NYC Bus Tour of Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens: Art, Food & Sports. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit New York?
+
September to early November, and late April through June. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in New York?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
