Wonderful way to spend the day!
Pick up was smooth - right on time. Our tour guide, David, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the city as well as the Champagne region. He knew so much about the history of Paris and the surrounding areas. He recommended a great diversion off our champagne tastings so we got to do tastings/tours at 2 houses plus see Reims and their Notre Dame. We had a great time - one tasting house was a large operation and the other was a smaller family-run business. Both were exceptional! We would recommend David to anyone looking for a tour of the Champagne region!

Champagne your
My husband and I and our 8 month old took a champagne tour with David during our stay in Paris. He had a brand new carseat for our little one, called ahead to the champagne houses to confirm we could bring our daughter and made our tour so memorable! Would highly recommend taking a tour with David!

David is the absolute best!
Our group consisted of my wife and I along with my sister and brother-in-law. We wanted to do spend a day outside of Paris but not do something that took half a day of traveling. The Champagne trip was the perfect excursion. David took us to two Champagne houses that he recommended due to their individual uniqueness, he hit it spot on. On the way we made a stop at the cathedral in Reims which was stunning. Since Notre Damn is not open for visitors I feel like this was a great experience to make up for that. In-between Champagne tours we had lunch in downtown Reims at a restaurant David recommended. The town square was amazing and somewhere we probably never would have experienced on our own. We really felt like we had a chance to experience the true European lifestyle since it was mostly locals there enjoying their day. On the way back he drove us through the countryside and stopped for some amazing photo opportunities. Although the trip itself was amazing, I have to say my conversions with David were just as important to the overall experience. He is a wealth of information and so willing to share. We covered everything from France's history and politics to culture and customs. I learned so much from him and will always appreciate that. For those who are concerned about logistics, there is no need to worry. David's English is perfect and he is great with communication up to and during your trip. David has my highest recommendation and when we return to Paris I will be sure to book with him again.

Another fantastic tour with David
This is our second tour with David. A few years back, we did a layover tour in Paris. This time around, we had a longer layover (~12 hours), so we ventured out to Reims. We had a fantastic experience at Taittinger - the tour was very comprehensive and the tasting was great. Since we visited off-season and had limited time, we weren't able to do other tours. We briefly stopped at Moet, since the boutique was open (they weren't open for tours, though). We also drove around a bit to take in the picturesque towns and views - we got fantastic shots of the landscape. We were also able to tour the Cathedral in Reims and have a nice lunch. David is warm, friendly, and timely! We did so much and still made it back to the airport with time to spare. Would recommend any tour with David. Looking forward to coming back for another tour during the warmer months.

Great host and we had a great day at Reims
David's excellent command in English and surperb hospitality made our day very enjoyable in Reims. He's fun and very considerate, and wouldn't mind going the extra mile to show us the heart of Épernay on our way back to Paris

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Champagne tour from Paris: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.
How much does Private Champagne tour from Paris cost?
+
Prices start at $890 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Champagne tour from Paris take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.
Is Private Champagne tour from Paris worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Champagne tour from Paris?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Champagne tour from Paris suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Champagne tour from Paris?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Champagne tour from Paris start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Paris?
+
Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Paris?
+
April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Paris?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
