Awesome 40th Bday Trip with Fernando and the Crew
We were celebrating a 40th birthday with 10 total people/5 couples in our group. Fernando and his crew did a great job keeping us with a drink in our hands at all times. We connected one of our phones to the bluetooth speaker on the boat and listened to great music. Did the 4 hr trip where we snorkeled and saw plenty of fish and then went close to the Isle Mujeres shore and drank in the water . Pretty affordable, we did have to book transportation from our hotel but that was easy just an extra expense. All in with tip we spent just shy of $200 per person or $400 per couple. Awesome trip!

Private catamaran with Peter and Calixto is worth it
We upgraded our experience to ride the catamaran to have a smaller group. The boat didn’t have the most space to have a party vibe if there are more than 15 people. You do get to stop at the island as well as snorkel, where the other package only allows one or the other or way less time at the island. The staff was cool. Calixto kept the vibes going, he was the energy of the group! Peter was our guide and kept us very informed, he was very nice. They really do their best to try to make it a great experience for you. The snorkeling was okay, glad we opted to go with a smaller group. There are multiple groups out there at once from different boats. When we were heading back to the boat and Peter was checking with us in the water, one of the ladies on my group did not get to see the statues at the bottom so he took her back really quickly while we were getting on the boat. It was very nice! The buffet wasn’t the best. Our server was super nice and friendly. Leaving there my aunt dropped her phone while getting back on the boat and Peter and Calixto jumped in to try and retrieve it, but couldn’t because it was murky water close to the dock. Again, both men go above and beyond to try and help and make this a good experience! Those two alone made it worth getting the private catamaran.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for letting us know your opinion! We are glad to know that our service met your expectations! It is very important for us to know that our visitors have a good time aboard our boats. We will make sure that your words reach our staff to keep them motivated and provide the quality service that distinguishes us.

What a perfect day!!
We had an absolute blast on the boat, Oh La La. It was just a family trip with my wife and two boys, 9 & 11. Our guide Abraham planned the perfect day for us. We headed straight to the reef for some snorkeling, which was amazing. Then we headed to the tip of Isla Mujeres at the famous beach with crystal clear water and sand so white, it seemed as if it had been bleached. There we anchored, jumped of the boat, and just swam for a bit, all the while our personal bartender, Juan was making sure we stayed hydrated. From there it was off to a wonderful restaurant where we were taken to a refrigerator to choose our fresh fish and live oysters. It was my wife’s birthday and they finished this superb lunch with a genuine celebration for my wife with sparklers and cake. From there our amazing Captain Pablo slowly navigated us back towards the mainland where we eventually concluded this phenomenal experience. If you want an amazing day alone on a boat with the family, these are the guys! Amazing! We’ll definitely charter the Oh La La on our next trip to Cancun.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sailing with us! We are happy to have been part of your vacation. We want you to know that the captain, the crew, and the entire shore staff are encouraged by your kind words. Our goal is and always has been the satisfaction of all our visitors and we are delighted to know that we have achieved it. We look forward to seeing you aboard again!

This was the best experience! Abraham and his crew were friendly and attentive. We went snorkeling and saw turtles and a spotted eagle ray. The crew kept the drinks flowing and made the kids Shirley temples. We used the same company for pickup and drop off and they were prompt! Highly recommend.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We love to read that you had an excellent time during your trip. We look forward to seeing you on board again.

The entire experience was AMAZING! The same company picked us up promptly at the hotel, took us to Abraham and his crew, and brought us back. Snorkeling was 10/10 - we saw a turtle and a spotted eagle ray! The crew kept the drinks flowing and even made the kids Shirley temples. I highly recommend.

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Catamaran from Cancun to Isla Mujeres | For up to 25 ppl: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.
How much does Private Catamaran from Cancun to Isla Mujeres | For up to 25 ppl cost?
+
Prices start at $1185 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Catamaran from Cancun to Isla Mujeres | For up to 25 ppl take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.
Is Private Catamaran from Cancun to Isla Mujeres | For up to 25 ppl worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 251 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Catamaran from Cancun to Isla Mujeres | For up to 25 ppl?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Catamaran from Cancun to Isla Mujeres | For up to 25 ppl suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Catamaran from Cancun to Isla Mujeres | For up to 25 ppl?
+
Around 88 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Catamaran from Cancun to Isla Mujeres | For up to 25 ppl start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cancun?
+
On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cancun?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cancun?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
