Duran Duran tours
Duran Duran was recommended to us by a friend, who visited Cartagena in January. We asked for two tours: 1) private city tour and 2) market and a crocodile sanctuary. Both tours were excellent. Duran Duran is very professional, warm, and knowledgeable person. He knows and loves Cartagena and it shows in everything he does. He has a great volume of information, but he does not press you with dates and names. His stories are interesting and funny. He is very accommodating and ensures that everyone enjoys the trip. We would highly recommend to contact him for a small or a large group.
Response from the operator: Good afternoon. Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely and interesting comment. It was a real pleasure to share with you, and your visit to the crocodile sanctuary was a great help to the community that raises, cares for, and uses the crocodiles to teach students and tourists about the importance of animal welfare. The people who work there and the other animal species we saw also benefited. Thanks a lot

Awesome Tour – Totally Recommend!
Our private tour of Cartagena with Duran Duran (as he is famously known throughout the city) was awesome! He was super friendly, easy going and knew so much cool stuff about the city's history and culture. He took us to all the must-see spots plus some awesome hidden gems we’d never have found on our own. The pace was perfect, and he tailored the experience to our interests. It felt like hanging out with a local friend who really knows their stuff. We learned a ton and laughed a lot (he's really quite funny). Highly recommend to anyone wanting an authentic experience.
Response from the operator: Hello. What an awesome review. God Bless You. Thanks a lot for sharing your felling about my tour guide service. Sincerely Durán Angel Eduardo

Gracias Duran!
My girlfriend and I had a great experience with Duran. He picked us up at our hotel and drove us around Cartagena, getting off in different neighborhoods or important landmarks, making it a very complete, efficient, and pleasant way to explore Cartagena in half a day. We could not be more happy with our tour and guide.
Response from the operator: Good morning. Thanks a lot for taking time to write about your experience. I also enjoyed sharing with you. It was my pleasure. Sincerely Durán Angel

Hernand belongs in the tour guide hall of fame!
Hernand belongs in the tour guide hall of fame! Duran Duran tour operator set us up for a private Cartagena tour for 3 couples in a van. The communication between our driver and Hernand was awesome so that when we walked from one place to the next, there was never more than a few more steps to the car which was waiting for us on the other side. Duran Duran was awesome with their communication pre-tour. Finding our van and Hernand just outside the cruise ship terminal was easy. But the cherry on top was Hernand. One of the most knowledgeable, friendly & insightful guides we’ve ever had in decades of travel! Thank you!
Response from the operator: Good morning. It was a pleasure to organize everything for you guys. Thanks for visiting Cartagena De Indias Colombia. Thanks for booking with Viator. Thanks for trusting Durán Durán Tours. Thank you for taking time to write this awesome review. Please, don't forget to come back.

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Cartagena city and street food tour.: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cartagena.
How much does Private Cartagena city and street food tour. cost?
+
Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cartagena usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Cartagena city and street food tour. take?
+
Plan for about 4.2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cartagena is not rushed.
Is Private Cartagena city and street food tour. worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 32 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cartagena, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Cartagena city and street food tour.?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Cartagena city and street food tour. suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Cartagena city and street food tour.?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cartagena can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cartagena and add a light layer if any part of the 4.2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Cartagena city and street food tour. start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cartagena within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cartagena?
+
On Outty we rank every Cartagena experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Historic Center & Getsemaní Shared Tour in Cartagena, Cartagena VIP Boat Tour: Rosario Islands & Snorkel, Cartagena Antigua & Barrio Getsemani group with audio system. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cartagena?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cartagena?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
