The Egyptian Museum in Cairo
The Egyptian Museum is the oldest archaeological museum in the Middle East and houses the largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities in the world. The museum displays an extensive collection spanning from the Predynastic Period to the Greco-Roman Era. Among the museum’s unrivaled collection are the complete burials of Yuya and Thuya, Psusennes I and the treasures of Tanis, and the Narmer Palette commemorating the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt under one king, which is also among the museum’s invaluable artifacts. The museum also houses the splendid statues of the great kings Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, the builders of the pyramids at the Giza plateau. An extensive collection of papyri, sarcophagi, and jewelry, among other objects, completes this uniquely expansive museum.

10/10!!! Must Do!!! Won’t Regret it!!!
I cannot recommend Hisham enough! From the moment we arrived in Egypt until the moment we left, he handled absolutely everything with professionalism, patience, and genuine care. He coordinated all of our airport pickups and drop-offs, hotel accommodations, daily logistics, and tour planning seamlessly, which made the entire trip completely stress-free. The hotel he selected for us was absolutely beautiful, comfortable, and in a great location and the included breakfast every morning was a huge plus. Another pleasant surprise was the daily lunch that came with the tour. Usually “included meals” can be hit or miss, but the food was actually REALLY good every single day! The only meal we ever had to worry about was dinner. One thing we especially appreciated was how flexible and understanding Hisham was. Our plans changed constantly throughout the trip, and he remained agreeable, accommodating, and patient the entire time. He was personable, friendly, easy to talk to, and always gave great recommendations for things to do, see, and try. Even during a small hiccup during the trip, Hisham handled it immediately with professionalism and genuine concern. He was extremely apologetic and quick to resolve the issue, which showed how much he truly cared about our experience. You could genuinely tell his main goal was making sure we left Egypt happy and we absolutely did! I also want to give a special shoutout to our driver, Silam, who was incredibly pleasant, professional, and helpful throughout the trip as well. I felt extremely safe and was never concerned about my wellbeing! Together, they made an amazing team and truly helped create an unforgettable experience for us. If you are planning a trip to Egypt and want someone trustworthy, organized, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making your trip special, book with Hisham. You will not regret it!

A trip to remember
My husband and I just finished our 10 day trip to Egypt and it was so amazing! Hisham Shaaban was our trip coordinator. He planned everything out for us from accommodation, transportation, private tours as well as fun activities. We had so many questions and concerns going into this but Hisham really put our mind at ease checking on us every step of the way. He also had an amazing team of drivers and guides around him. One of our favorite guides was in Aswan. Her name was Anfel. She was so knowledgeable about the history and temples. It made the experience so much more impactful. Not to mention she was so kind. We absolutely adored her! If you are wanting to go to Egypt I would definitely do it and go with Hisham. It was one of the most memorable trips I’ve ever done.

Stress free first time travel in Egypt!
I couldn’t express enough how satisfied me and my husband felt with the good care we had received from Hisham and his team. We were taken really well cared of right from airport pick up to the two full days we spent in Cairo and Giza. Hats off to our very good guide, Ramy. He knew Egyptian history like the back of his hand and you can see how much he loves to teach people about his culture. He learned so much in just two days. What a good story teller he is! Make sure to ask for him if you read this review! And also to our reliable drive Ahmed who’s been with us from the start. He is very reliable and a jolly good fellow. If you want your first trip to Egypt a stress free one, do not hesitate to reach out to Hisham and he will take good care of you. 😊

One for the books!
We had a blast! Thanks to Hisham and his team for organizing our 5 day tour of Egypt (Cairo, Giza, Luxor and Alexandria). It was a well orchestrated experience. Shout out to all our tour guides Hisham, Mahmoud, Sama and Youssef who were very patient with us and has great knowledge on their history. Our driver Mahmoud who kept us safe, never late and really catered for us for every little thing. To Hisham’s team at the hotel who took care of us and treated us like family, at the end of each and everyday of our tour, they made us feel like we’re going home with hot meal at the table. I felt safe and welcomed. We never had to worry about anything at all. Shukran! Highly recommend to book a tour with Hisham.

Why this scores 75
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Cairo City Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.
How much does Private Cairo City Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Cairo City Tour take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.
Is Private Cairo City Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Cairo City Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Cairo City Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Cairo City Tour?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Cairo City Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cairo?
+
On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cairo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cairo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
