Excursion with a lot to do

A lot of hands on activities for those who don't want to follow along on a boring sightseeing tour. From driving the streets of Cozumel to ATVs and snorkeling...this excursion had it all!

    Overpriced tour

First of all… it took an hour of our tour time to figure out which tour guide to get in the car with, because they said that Viator had us double booked online. Finally, when we got started we went with Angel. He was a terrific guide. Very attentive to our needs and what we wanted to do. I was personally very disappointed in the dirty water in the Jade Cynote. My older kids had a blast jumping from it. But the four wheelers that we took down the trails to get there were ragged out. One of our passengers four wheeler broke down causing him to have to ride on the back of his 23 year old friend. Originally I ordered 8 atvs. But when we got there he only gave us 5. So we have 3 four wheelers which we had to ride double. That dirt road was so bumpy that I got nauseous. In all I would Not recommend the Jade Cenote. It was a total waste of time. However we enjoyed riding around the island in the dune buggies. That was our favorite part of the excursion! Unfortunately we didn’t get time to relax at the beach and play or tan because we didn’t have time. The food at restaurant was ok. But not worth all the time that we wasted waiting on it. I would rather had skipped the food and ate at the end on the beach. But overall it was a good tour. Way too overpriced. And be prepared for the Mayan village people begging for tips. Presentations were great. But all they wanted was more money. So you better have some cash change.

    Don’t Bother

Paid for 5 experiences at $135 each. They only had THREE four wheelers. We were picked up with two cars and one of our customers had to be a driver. Imagine taking shots while waiting an hour and then finding out you have to drive…in another country!!! We booked and paid for FIVE excursions. They showed up with two cars and one driver. Our second stop was tequila tasting with an unprepared…us sorry US driver in another country. We didn’t do most of the tours excluding beaches, snorkeling and the lighthouse. The family “Mexican lunch” was on a the other side of the island and when we requested mild sauce we were provided mayonnaise. 🤣🤮 The cenote was GREEN!!! It was a swamp attached to a cave on the family compound. We almost missed our boat and had to run back after missing most of our activities. Oh! Also the 4 wheelers were SHARED. No helmets, masks, disclosures…just 5 paid for excursions and four wheelers with 3 bikes. BIG rip off! Don’t waste your time, USD or LIFE!!! We tipped the employee although 4 of us didn’t get any of the tour access or info…4 of us followed in another vehicle so we didn’t hear anything about the island. How could we when a family member was driving following behind. SHAME on this family for the lies and ruining the loved ones birthday. Hope it was wort it! 👿

    I would do it again

It was a long but great day. The tour guide told us that it was our day so when some locations took longer, he was patient with us. But that meant we didn’t get to everything. The Jade Cenote is green due to of lack of water flow. So I was not inclined to jump once we got there.

Private Buggy and ATV Tour to Jade Cavern Cenote All Inclusive: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.

How much does Private Buggy and ATV Tour to Jade Cavern Cenote All Inclusive cost?

    +

Prices start at $135 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Buggy and ATV Tour to Jade Cavern Cenote All Inclusive take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.

Is Private Buggy and ATV Tour to Jade Cavern Cenote All Inclusive worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 27 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Buggy and ATV Tour to Jade Cavern Cenote All Inclusive?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Buggy and ATV Tour to Jade Cavern Cenote All Inclusive suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Buggy and ATV Tour to Jade Cavern Cenote All Inclusive?

    +

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Buggy and ATV Tour to Jade Cavern Cenote All Inclusive start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cozumel?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cozumel?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cozumel?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
