Greg is amazing

This is hands down the best tour ever! Greg was my family’s tour guide and he was so knowledgeable and really knew the history of New York. We were shocked at some of the history he was showing us and explaining… We absolutely love Brooklyn and the Bronx and he even gave us a tip on where to eat dinner. Juniors was sooo good! We are so blessed to have done this tour!

First Visit to New York.

This tour was excellent, our guide was Trey and he made sure we saw everything we wanted to see and more, we created a list of everything we wanted to see in the 4.5 hour tour. He new that i had recently had a full hip replacement and may not be able to complete the tour but with short breaks i did. He looked after us very well and many thanks to him for making our time in New York very special.

A true highlight of our week!!

This tour was a definite highlight of our week in the city! David was a FANTASTIC guide!! He engaged equally well with my wife and me as well as our teenage kids. He has a deep knowledge of the area. He shared history and some celebrity information related to the area. He worked in coffee (and Shake Shack - for the kids) stops along the way. He took care of us from the start and made sure that we knew how to get to our next destination after the tour. My kids fondly referenced David several times in the days following our time with him. We highly recommend this tour!!

Response from the operator: I’m so glad to hear that you and your kids enjoyed the tour with David. We really aim to find the right mix of stops and info to appeal to the whole family—coffee and Shake Shack always help!

Excellent!

We have been to NYC multiple times, mostly around specific events, so we wanted to spend some time exploring other areas and the culture. Sonja was such a delight as we explored Brooklyn, DUMBO, & Brooklyn Heights! It was a melting hot day, and she was flexible for my teenage daughter and me. We even had time to explore the Financial District, too. This team was wonderful to work with during our stay in August, and we look forward to exploring again with them!

If you have any sense - book Max!

This was a truly amazing walking tour. Max and his company came highly recommended and I am going to do the same to everyone one I meet and know who is planning a trip to NYC. We had the best time with Max. He came and met us in the West Village and walked us around where we were staying, pointing out interesting buildings and taking us to his favourite spots. He then took us up to the high line, and then to buy ME and my wife a Birthday cookie (the best we had on the trip and has now ruined any other cookies for me) and then on over the Brooklyn Bridge, to Dumbo and Brooklyn Heights. He is exceptionally good at what he does; knowledgable, funny, relaxed and professional. We also took his tip(s) on Williamsburg and had a fantastic day! Thank you Max! New York is now my favourite city and I look forward to seeing you soon in the future. We will of course recommend you to all our friends!

Private Brooklyn Walking Tour: Brooklyn Bridge DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New York.

How much does Private Brooklyn Walking Tour: Brooklyn Bridge DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights cost?

+

Prices start at $329 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New York usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Brooklyn Walking Tour: Brooklyn Bridge DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New York is not rushed.

Is Private Brooklyn Walking Tour: Brooklyn Bridge DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 46 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in New York, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Brooklyn Walking Tour: Brooklyn Bridge DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Private Brooklyn Walking Tour: Brooklyn Bridge DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Brooklyn Walking Tour: Brooklyn Bridge DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New York can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New York and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Brooklyn Walking Tour: Brooklyn Bridge DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New York within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in New York?

+

New York has more bookable experiences than any other city on Outty, and the quality spread is brutal. Observation decks are commoditised, so we score them on timed-entry reliability and sunset slots. Food tours and borough walks are where the ranking really separates operators, and the top scores in the city all come from small-group guides. On Outty we rank every New York experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Grand Canyon VIP Helicopter Tour, Half-Day Bus Tour of NYC Top Highlights, NYC Bus Tour of Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens: Art, Food & Sports. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit New York?

+

September to early November, and late April through June. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in New York?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
